What a year it was for the Chicago Bears...& I don't mean that in a good way by any stretch of imagination. The team came of a 5-11 season in 2014, their first double-digit loss season since producing the exact same record just 10 years prior. & as a result, changes had to be made, & it started in the front office. General manager Phil Emery...gone. Director of pro personnel Kevin Turks...gone. & of course head coach Marc Trestman...gone as well, along with offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer. Quarterbacks coach Matt Canavaugh's contract was not retained by the organization as well. Roster changes include the departures of wide receiver Brandon Marshall, cornerback Charles Tillman (who missed the majority of 2014 due to injury), safety Chris Conte, defensive tackle Stephen Paea, safety Anthony Walters, & center Roberto Garza...just to name a few. New head coach John Foz, who had taken his two previous coached teams the Broncos & Panthers to Super Bowls, is expected to bring a fresh new attitude. & what about quarterback Jay Cutler? The guy was almost traded to the Tennessee Titans & still possess a lof of money in his current deal. What will become of the Bears going forward in 2015?? Tune in to a new episode of The Rocket Sports Breakdown Thursday May 21st @ 6:30pm to find out. For 30 minutes, Rocket will discuss the Bears & their 2015 offseason & more. Rocket Nation, get ready for a power trip.

Barry Bonds, Jeff Kent kept out of Hall of Fame again
OK, here’s the main thing about numbers in baseball: They all require context. No one could reasonably argue that, say, Mariners first baseman Corey Hart is a more dominant offensive player than Hall of Famer Frank “Home Run” Baker simply because Hart has more career home runs and a higher OPS. We know Baker played in the sport’s deadball era, so we adjust our standards accordingly.
And Bonds stands as one of the sport’s greatest hitters ever in any context. By the park- and league-adjusted stat OPS+, Bonds ranks third all-time behind only Babe Ruth and Ted Williams. It’s perfectly fair to debate whether Bonds’ 763 home runs are more impressive than Hank Aaron’s 755, since Bonds played at a time when lots of guys hit lots of homers. But it’s silly to dismiss all those homers entirely. They all contributed to his teams’ chances of victory.
3. It would be unfair to clean players
This one’s tricky. One of the great shames of baseball’s so-called steroids era is that there were certainly guys who held themselves to higher standards than the league did and refused to take PEDs, and many of those players likely missed out on roster spots or big paydays or places in the record books because they were unwilling to compromise. And that stinks, no doubt.
Problem is, we have no sure way of knowing who they were. This aims by no means to besmirch the reputations of players like Glavine, Maddux and Thomas. But we can never say for sure that no member of the 2014 Hall of Fame class ever juiced. We know only that they successfully convinced us they played clean. And now that the Hall’s doors are open to players from their era, it will become increasingly tricky and disturbing if we keep trying to guess which guys did what without concrete evidence.
4. How will I explain it to my kid?

The team at Game Centric Radio will take on a hot-button topic -- depictions of mental illness in gaming! Whether we're looking at video games (from Borderlands to the depictions of Joker and Harley Quinn) to portraying mental illnesses (known as "derangements" in some systems) in table-top gaming, we'll be exploring accuracy and the fine line between "over the top" and downright offensive. We'll even look at character-based board/card games that touch on the subject, such as Gloom and Betrayal at the House on Haunted Hill.
The Chicago Bulls finished their season with a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 6. The Bulls faced similar offensive struggles, going long periods without managing to put the ball in the net. Their offensive collapse is just one of many questions circling this team as they enter the offseason. Has Tom Thibodeau coached his last game? Who will be his replacement? And which pieces of this roster will return next season? The Chicago Blackhawks, meanwhile, will try to get the split of the first two games in Anaheim against the Ducks in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals tonight. The Hawks came out strong in Game 1 but failed to score, and found themselves chasing the Ducks from behind the entire game. Power plays and deep defensive rotations continued to be a problem in Game 1, can the Hawks turn up the offense and survive the heavy-hitting Ducks to come back to Chicago with the series tied 1-1? All this plus your phone calls at (347) 327-9183!

MediaTrackers has upset many on both sides because of a story written by Brian Sikma called "3 #TonyRobinson Protest Photos the Media Wont Show You".
The photos (link here) show African-American protestors holding offensive signs that say "F" the police. More offensively however are the purely racist comments that are on the post. Many of these comments are full of language that is offensive to many.
Many people on the right are offended because the comments come from someone that considers themselves a conservative. Many conservatives from all races are already called racists or sellouts because they are on the conservative side. Racially charged comments from someone on the right just add fuel to the fire that most conservatives are trying to extinguish.
Many have called on MediaTrackers to remove the comments but I say different. How do you feel about it.
USA Freedom Act: passed by relative landslide this week in GOP House, awaiting Senate action, reportedly ends direct state bulk collection of phone records revealed (again) by Snowden, forces telecoms into bulk collection role
Second Circuit Appeals court ruled this month that the Patriot Act did not, in fact, authorize the massive vacuuming up of people's communication data undertaken by U.S. spy agencies, despite ubiquitous, off-record claims to the contrary by "the intelligence community"
Court records can give the public some idea as to how the telecom oligopolies are responding to both of these events, indications being that a likely scenario is the largely unabated supply of communications information to the government
On May 31st of this year, Section 215 of the Patriot Act --used to support claims that nationwide, communications dragnet collection is authorized by law-- is expiring

It was an energetic crowd at the Forum in LA tonight as HBO showcased a card with the two best offensive fighters in the sport of boxing. Gennady “GGG” Golovkin defended his WBA middleweight and WBC interim middleweight titles against Willie “The Mongoose” Monroe Jr.
In the first round, Golovkin pursued his opponent and calculatedly unleashed his punches with bad intent. Monroe wasn’t completely shut out in the offense department, but his effective countering came far and few between. It was primarily a Golovkin round.
