Ambika Wauters: archetypes and chakra healing on #togetherforNepal

    in Health

Ambika Wauters, director of the Institute of Life Energy Medicine, riginally from San Diego, received a BA from UCLA and an MFA from the Royal College of Art, London. She completed her homeopathic training in the UK at the School of Homeopathic Medicine, Darlington, North Yorkshire. She qualified with the Society of Homeopaths in 1995 and her membership was active until she moved to the United States in 1998. Ambika is the author of 18 books on healing, homeopathy and the realm of angels, which she loves writing about. She is the creator of the homeopathic color and sound remedies which she feels have an important place in the field of homeopathic medicine.

Archetypes have been used as a model for self-awareness for many years, and since the publication of Carl Jung's "Archetypes of the Unconscious" people have gained insights into themselves by focusing on their archetypes. Ambika argues that creating healthy archetypes is fundamental for our healing. In her healing work, she uses archetypes to describe states of energy, emotional awareness, behavioural patterns and links our negative-positive archetypes to the chakras, or energy centres of the body. She will explain to us how to focus on these archetypes as part of the inner healing process and use the insights gained as a way of understanding motivations and behaviour, illustrating us on how an individual can transform their current archetypes and create a more confident, mature and empowered archetype for themselves after a major life crisis like the earthquake in Nepal.

Astrological Roots of Gender Roles and Archetypes vs. Stereotypes

    in Spirituality

Today Robert FitzGerald, Theoretical Astrologer and I are going to talk about the Astrological Roots of Gender Roles and the difference between Archetypes and Stereotypes.

Robert FitzGerald is the authtor of The Signs of the Times This is a fascinating account of how time and history follow an astrological structure. This structure consists of astrological ages that are chronicled from before the Age of Cancer, and the invention of agriculture around the world, to the present end of the Age of Pisces, and the much-prophesied Apocalyptic end of the world. Within this pattern an end-time cycle emerges that explains the Apocalyptic energies that we see around us today. Astrology also promises, in the coming Age of Aquarius, a new golden age and gives us indications of what needs to be done to survive this end-time. ~~~~~Robert FitzGerald is an artist, photographer, and theoretical astrologer. For more than 25 years, he has been pushing the boundaries of astrology into theories of religion, mythology, mathematics, genetics, geology and physics. [Name of your book] reveals a revolutionary vision of history based on the ancient cycles of astrology. His vision of life on this planet promises to change the way humanity looks at history and at the world around us. He grew up in California and now lives and works at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield, Iowa, a community dedicated to expanding our knowledge of the world by combining spiritual knowledge with the scientific

The Four Fold Goddess: A Critical Look at Modern Woman's Archetypes

    in Spirituality

Do you resonate with the THREE fold Goddess or the Four Fold? I think we can connect to the energies of Maiden, Mother or Crone regardless of age. But, at 42 years old and peri-menopausal, I feel I have more vitality in me and am not aligned to the Crone aspect just yet. This has got me thinking a lot about the oft-unspoken of fourth archetype, the Matriarch archetype. In this episode, I talk about The Three Fold Goddess and The Four Fold Goddess and archetypes for modern women.

    Stories, Legends, and Archetypes....Oh My!

    in Self Help

Stories, Dreams, Legends, and Myths are full of lessons that shape our lives. The Archetypes you'll find in them can play a role in everyday life. Have you ever felt like the Damsel in Distress? Does Ichabod Crane (The Legend of Sleepy Hollow) have a soft spot in your heart because the teacher archetype is prominent in your life? Stories that shape and reflect our world are powerful indeed. How did watching and reading Bambi affect you and your thoughts of humanity?

What about legends, like that of St. Nick? Where did it come from, where did the story begin? How many stories do we write in our minds each and every day? Our lives are stuff that dreams are made of. Let's take a look at the wonderful world of the Baird (the storyteller), and see where our imagination can take us!

Archetypes, Fairy Tales & Divine Feminine w/Cathy Pagano

    in Spirituality

Fairy tales are the simplest experesion of archetypal patterns.  Junians love to work with fairy tales and myths to better understand our personal dream stories, which often reflect these archetypal themes.  While it seem as if many of our inherited fairy tales have a patriarchal bent, it is also true that these fairy tales show us how to deal with this overbearing patriarchal attitude.  Archetypal paterns self-correct, and so instead of Sleeping Beauty waiting for her prince to save her, these tales expressed what the Feminine Principle needs to learn to "do" (the masculine energy) to deal with the situation.  The heroines of these tales were, in fact, learning to save themselves.  That's the message we're seeing today in movies such as Maleficent and Frozen andon TV in Once Upon a Time.  Cathy will also share some stories about her favorite heras/heroines:  Scheherazade, Dame Ragnell and Allerleirauh.

We'll discuss what are archetypes, why it is important to understand symbolic language, why a feminist approach to fairy tales is more limiting than a symbolic one and much more.  Tune in!

    in Women

Hear Kris Oster, PhD talk about how the archetypes of pleasure can make your marketing more magnetic and unique. It's time to turn on your business! Find out how you can use the myth of Aphrodite (Venus) from the story of Psyche and Eros (Cupid) to help improve brand and marketing. Learn more about her upcoming program "Unbound" which is based on these principles of archetypes and pleasure.

Kris Oster, PhD. is a scholar of mythology + archetypal psychology, who happens to be skilled at marketing + business design, who also happens to be a writer, musician and entrepreneur. And that’s just the tip of the mermaid’s tail.

Companies hire her when they need a spark of imaginative mysticism, to jolt a department into action — or dive ten fathoms deeper into a marketing campaign.

Entrepreneurs hire her when they need a serious celestial shake-up. Fresh priorities. Vibrant branding. A clear sense of their story — their personal mythology. And more.

When not jamming with business owners, She is playing on her congas, going on dates with her husband Chris, and playing in the surf with her 5-year old girl, or talking to Mer-Angels. Yup. Literally.
