WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

Here is an article taken from a News paper coming out of South Africa Yesterday. "Shackled, four men who allegedly stabbed Emmanuel Sithole to death at the weekend smiled at their loved ones, even sharing a joke, as they were led to the holding cells of Johannesburg's Alexandra Magistrate's Court.

"They were laughing just like that as they walked away from killing my brother," wept Sithole's sister Thando Sithole.

"They hunted him down like a dog. They killed him like a dog in the street. And now they laugh.''

Speaking after Mthinto Bhengu, Sizwe Mngomezulu, Ayanda Sibiya and Sifundi Mzimela appeared in court, Thando Sithole was unable to contain her rage.

"We want justice. We want them to get life. They must get life for taking a life. They must never taste freedom again."

Sithole's younger sister, Jordina Masia, who was with Emmanuel when he was attacked, said she had pleaded with the men not to hurt him. "I begged. I cried. I asked them not to. They killed him because when they took his cigarettes without paying, Emmanuel confronted them, demanding payment. Just like that they killed him."

A series of photographs in the Sunday Times chronicling the Mozambican trader's murder in Alexandra on Saturday continues to enrage South Africans.

That rage, compounded by Monday night's shooting of a Zimbabwean couple in Alexandra, prompted the government to deploy hundreds of troops to the township and other xenophobia flashpoints, including in KwaZulu-Natal.

Late last night, about 400 police, supported by heavily armed infantry soldiers in armoured vehicles, shut down large sections of Jeppestown, Johannesburg." With the greatest of scrutiny and disbelief I am watching as the Fall of African Unity begins

    in Pets

This is a heartbreaking story of a dog that was adopted just to be abandoned 4 days later in another state! A wonderful person found him and rescued him only to have the shelter, from another state, send someone to drag him away. Now, his rescuer, whom wanted to adopt him, can't get the shelter to communicate with her. When the shelter was contacted, they gave vague information and made statements that the rescuer didn't want him, thought he was too hyper, knocked her disabled husband over.....blah blah blah blah! Well, now we are asking you to get involved. Listen to the story, then make the phone calls. Let's tell the shelter that this behavior is unexeptable! What of the person whom abandoned Roman? He's a DOCTOR and first claimed that Roman bit him, then after all Hell broke loose, hired a lawyer and now claims that Roman bit him 3 times! Roman never once showed aggression to the woman and her husband who rescued him.....sound fishy? Yup, that's what I said too! Get those pens and paper handy cause I'm passing out names and numbers! Striking a Positive Chord with Nihar Suthar

    in Motivation

Nihar is an award-winning writer, covering inspirational stories around the world. Believe it or not, he stumbled upon writing completely by accident after moving to New York City for the very first time. While in the Big Apple, Nihar noticed that there were thousands of people missing out on the greatness of everyday life, due to the very fast paced lifestyles they lived.

As a result of his observations, he had a big idea to inspire people around the globe by writing a book (which was strange, because he always hated reading books. Why would he ever write one?). With the support of his family and friends though, Nihar ended up debuting his first international book, Win No Matter What, with Balboa Press in June 2013.

Since then, his work has been featured in Washington Square News, U.S. News and World Report, The Huffington Post, and several podcasts. Nihar is now working on a new book, The Corridor of Uncertainty (a heart-warming narrative about the Afghanistan cricket team), which he hopes to release in 2015.

How to Pray for Evil Rulers

    in Spirituality

How to Pray for Evil Rulers [LIVE call -in show for Thursday 04/23/15]

Scripture tells us to pray for our national and regional leaders. In fact, it's rather detailed about how and why to do this. But I sometimes hear this from Christians: "How can I pray for this man who's in office now? I can't stand him, and he's doing a terrible job!"  Yet 2000 years ago, the Apostle Paul writes "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life ..." (I Tim. 2:1-2)

Now in case your wondering how and why you should pray for our current leaders, and how you can possibly offer God thanks for them, keep in mind who ruled the Roman Empire at the time that Paul wrote this: it was Nero and his appointed henchmen. (You've heard of Nero, haven't you, dear Christian?) Nero was preceded by Claudius and by Emperor Caligula. Look up Caligula on the Internet for some perspective on the evil of our national leaders today. This was the time in which Paul wrote.

So what's your verdict, Christian?  Are the Scriptures irrelevant here? Or had St. Paul gone "soft in the head" when he wrote this? How and why should we pray and be thankful for our national leaders today? Tune in and take note! Your host is Rev. Rick Anderson, on "Jewish Roots", each Thursday at 9:30 pm DST. Red Maryland Radio #212: 4/23/2015

    in Politics Conservative

It's an all new edition of Red Maryland Radio tonight at 8 PM on the Red Maryland Network.

    On tonight's show:

We'll recap the Maryland Republican Party spring convention, and the announcement of our Red, White, and Blue dinner speaker.

The Baltimore Sun is honoring Governor Larry Hogan as Marylander of the Year, despite opposing him every step of the way.

Speaking of Governor Hogan, what the left can't do electorally they'll try to take in court.

The MTA chief is being shown the door. Does this mean help is finally on the way?

And just because Governor Hogan has laid down the law on new taxes doesn't mean that Democrats in Annapolis got the memo.

All that and more is why you can't afford to miss an episode of Red Maryland Radio tonight at 8 PM on the Red Maryland Network.......and don't forget that you can subscribe to all Red Maryland Network programming on iTunes and on Stitcher.
