    Another legendary Bass Player!

    in Rock Music

First it was Steve Fossen (HEART BY HEART) now its Fran Sheehan (formerly of BOSTON)  from the American Vinyl All-Star Band who will be appearing on my show this week. I don't know what it is but I seem to be attracting bass players to the show so far, not that it's a bad thing, but now I have to get Geddy Lee or Steve Harris next  to complete the trio. Tune in this Thursday at 6:30 p.m. est to listen as I ask this rock legend about being apart of one of the Biggest Selling debut albums (until GNR surpassed it with Appetite) of all time. There is so much to ask him, he actually has a strange tie in to Van Halen that I want to discuss. So please listen in or as always, I would love for you guys to call in and ask this rock Legend about his experiences and his newest project. and the legendary band members he is currently playing with.

The Knicks and Nets Suck and the Rangers are killing it, but the Islanders are hurting and the Devils maybe sneaking in to the Playoffs so that is top of the list for me. But wait I think pitchers and cathchers reported last week which means the circus is in town, yes there has been an A-ROD  sighting in Florida so I am sure there will be news from Yankees camp to discuss.

Matt Harvey is throwin "Stinkin Dynamite" (Thanks to boomer and carton show) so we have plenty of Mets news for you as well.

Oh and by the way, Winston and Marriotta threw at the combine, who fared better? and who helped his draft status?  Tune in I will tell you.

All of this and a legendary bass player? Where can you get this kind of value for your money? Actually its free so I could put on a shit show and it would still make sense..

See you live this Thursday on Blogtalkradio.com

    Keep on Rockn'!!!!

What does Eternal Life really mean?

    in Religion

Having read the Holy Bible from cover to cover, I cannot recall seeing any passage which tells us exactly what eternal life really means but I can tell you what I believe it means and it may just surprise you.  Before I do there are a few things you must know.  You need to know that I did not come by this interpretation based on attending any Bible College and I do not possess a certificate or degree from any religious institution.  What I do have is an enormous love for Christ, a real belief in the words he spoke and an insatiable appetite for learning as much about our God as possible.  What you need to know is that I am no different than you, no better than you, no smarter than you.  These are the things you need to know so that you can make more educated decision about what I say.  Either way, knows that my one and only intention is to get you to research the Bible yourself, read what is written then make up your own mind.  To some that may be asking a lot but too many others it’s simply a call to action.  Your spiritual education is not the job of others, it is your job and your’s alone.

Tell inspiring stories to captivate an audience

    in Motivation

Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.
    —Robert McKee

Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, recall, inspire, motivate, challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our minds. Want to make a point or raise an issue? Tell a story. — Janet Litherland

Stories are all around us.  They are what move us, make us feel alive, and inspire us. Our appetite for stories is a reflection of the basic human need to understand patterns of life — not merely as an intellectual exercise but as a personal, emotional experience. Stories are the way to reach out to people and emotionally connect.

Yet most of us are used to the business-as-usual approach to communicating ideas, looking at the umpteenth Powerpoint bullet list or Word document. We may even build presentations that we ourselves wouldn’t want to sit through.  Why do we do that? How is it that we such expert story consumers that we can confidently walk out of a movie after only a few minutes, but we often fail to recognize both the importance of a good story and the weakness of our own approaches to communication when it’s our turn on the stage? What happens if we move beyond business-as-usual, and start building content that is engaging and powerful, by harnessing the energy of the well-told story?
