Although we will continue our conversation about out-of-the-closet conservative David Mamet and his revelatory book, "The Secret Knowledge," we will spend a little time on a recent theatrical controversy. Specifically, we will tackle the question of whether a colege theatre production should make changes to a script if the local community complains about its content. I posed this question recently on Facebook and got a number of insightful and challenging comments from my listeners (and others). Join me today as we ponder a difficult issue (and David Mamet!).

Did ancient “visitors”—of extraterrestrial origin—come to Earth long ago and lift the human race out of the ashes of a great global catastrophe around 10,500 BC? Were the science and secrets that they taught the ancients intended to be a guide for all humanity to the present era of change and upheaval we are experiencing? Was this crucial information about our future and our true past usurped by secretive, small cabals, some with bad intent and some with altruistic designs, who have held these secrets over the millennia to the present day? In Ancient Aliens and Secret Societies, New York Times bestselling author Mike Bara says the answer to each of these questions is “yes.”
He examines the ancient, major catastrophe that jolted the human race and exposes how the spiritual wisdom and scientific knowledge the ETs sought to bestow on humanity were hijacked by a self-appointed sect of secret societies for their own benefit. The influence of these secret societies and their extraterrestrial ties are said to be the stuff of myth, but Bara will show readers that this influence is all too real and the origins far stranger than they might have imagined. In the end, Bara speculates on the possibility that these ETs—whom the ancients knew as gods—may be returning within our lifetime. Chapters include: Out of the Ashes; From the Sky Down; Ancient Aliens?; The Dawn of the Secret Societies; The Fractures of Time; Into the 20th Century; Back to the Future; NASA and the Apollo missions; Return to Tomorrow; more.

It's a pleasure having I Mother Earth's Brian Byrne on the show, especially since we get to chat about the band's upcoming appearance at the Unison Jam on May 6th at the Phoenix Concert Theatre. The money raised during the initiative, which also features the likes of Finger Eleven, Kim Mitchell, k-os, Jason McCoy, The Trews, and many others, will go to the Unison Benevolent Fund and help those in the music industry during their time of need.
As for IME, they're currently promoting their hot new single, "The Devil's Engine" at radio. Fans will also have a chance to hear it from the stage during some summer performances, including a slot at WTFest in Brantford, ON on June 13th.
We also have singer/songwriter/guitarist Salvatore Costa on the show, speaking about his project Smashing Satellites. The band's EP debut, SonicAluzion A-Side, dropped last fall and the buzz has been building quickly. Smashing Satellites is taking part in the May 8th edition of Generation Next Live during Canadian Music Week. We'll chat about the show and the band's impressive success of late.
