Join Sharon Bar Or, Sue Graywolf and Jim Graywolf as they lead a talk on anxiety and stress and how to release them this Wednesday, 2/ at 1 PM MST, noon PST, 3 PM EST, 8 PM London and 10 PM Israel time.
As we go through spiritual awakening and changes in mind, body, spirit, etal. a lot of anxiety and stress can be generated by our brains. It can seep through our whole being and affect our lives, health and growth. So many people in our circles have been asking about this and how we can clear it. Having gone through extended periods of this stressful by-product of spiritual growth - and still dealing with it - the hosts have looked into this area deeply and found ways to decrease or eliminate this block.
Come join us Wednesday and we will try to move some anxiety out of our beings.

I have suffered from anxiety ever since I can remember. Social anxiety, incesant, debilitating anxiety. I called it by by different names; addiction, sensitivity, artist, all trying to explain, define, understand, and diagnose why life why always so hard for me. I self-medicated, using pot, food, sex, love, TV, etc. Now, as I become aware of the true nature of my struggles, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
On today's show, let's discuss this little bugger and the ways we try to quiet that voice in our heads, the one that says we can't do anything, shouldn't do anything, aren't good enough to do anything, and do everything wrong. If you suffer from depression and anxiety, this is the episode for you.
I am so excited as we continue our Neuroscience month, to bring this week's guest and author!
Don Joseph Goewey managed the department of psychiatry at Stanford Medical School, ran a regional emergency medical services system, and for twelve years headed an internationally recognized institute that pioneered an approach to catastrophic life events. He has worked with some of the most stressful situations on earth—with people facing terminal illness, parents struggling with the loss of a child, prisoners adjusting to a life sentence, and refugees of the genocidal war in Bosnia struggling with extreme post-traumatic stress. He spent six years directing a think tank aimed at integrating breakthroughs in neuroscience and psychology. From this work, he innovated a model for changing brain structure to extinguish stress reactions and amplify the higher brain function that enables a human being to flourish.
HIs new book is groundbreaking and can help anyone deal more effectively with stress.(order it here) Learn more about Don here.

The Amazing Therapeutic Benefits of Hot Tubs
For generations, hot tubs have been used to relieve pain, fight anxiety and improve overall health. Here are a few reasons to invest in a hot tub and a glimpse into the amazing therapeutic benefits.
Relieve Muscle Pain
One of the best traits of a hot tub is its ability to eliminate muscle pain. With sustained elevated heat and targeted massage, there’s nothing like submerging a sore body into a steamy pool of bubbling water.
Using a hot tub prior to going to bed will promote a deep, restful sleep. Getting out of a hot tub causes core body temperature to drop, which triggers the release of certain hormones that promote sleep.
While we all endure some degree of pressure and anxiety, elevated stress is unhealthy and can cause serious health conditions. Even a 20 minute soak in a hot tub can provide stress relief.

3 Tips for managing stress and feeling confident and calm by Barb Schmidt author, THE PRACTICE
1. Meditation- The first tip I always suggest is meditation. Starting your day in stillness and peace is setting the tone for your whole day. In a five minute meditation you are training your mind by placing your attention on your breath, not engaging the thoughts, practicing being patient, and spending time with yourself, connecting with that deep place of calmness and strength. This time in the morning grounds you as you go into your day with the knowing you are carrying this peace with you. You’ve taken this precious time to be present with your breath; with yourself.
2. Breathe. Give yourself permission to Stop! Even in the most stressful or chaotic situations, I find that if I just take a small step back, close my eyes and focus on my breath, for just a minute, I find peace and relief. Many times we get caught up with the whirlwind of life and forget to breathe! Having this one small tip in your back pocket can bring so much clarity to your life.
3. Stay in the present moment. Do not allow your mind to wander back to what has already transpired or forward to the “what ifs” of the future. Gently bring your mind back to the present, with your breath, an affirmation or your sacred mantra, to what is right now, and tackle any problem you may be experiencing from there. You are in control of your own mind, produce thoughts that are beneficial for your life in this very moment

Symone Johnson, a 29 female Dr. Phil, is a well-known and successful counselor who thrives on helping troubled couples. With her simple approach, “Confess, Assess, and Address, then you can eliminate stress”
With two sisters married and with children, Symone faces the hardships of an overbearing mother whom takes it upon herself to play cupid with her life and won't take no for an answer. Dating for Symone isn't easy either, then again it never is for the daughter of a prominent pastor. Her life is under a magnifying glass being a member of the First Family. Every step she makes is scrutinized and judged, and she has to make daddy look good at all times.
When a forbidden love ensues, will Symone follow the word of GOD and live according to her overbearing parents, or will she follow the beat of her heart? No matter the choice, things are about to get real in the Johnson compound!
When Jesus was asked which commandment was the most important, He gave an answer that is familiar to many of us. He then went on to stress the importance of loving our neighbor. Even though we've heard this many times, we often fail to put His words into practice. Join Catholic Evangelist Gary Zimak as he reads and discusses the Mass Readings for the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The Lord's message is clear. How are we responding?
