Men and Depression- While clinical depression was once considered a "woman's disease," more than 6 million men in the U.S.. have depression each year. Unfortunately, the lingering image of depression as a female condition may keep men who are clinically depressed from recognizing the symptoms of depression and seeking treatment.

“LIFE IS OUTSTANDING”
AGGRESSIVELY DEMANDING CHANGE - Butterfly Evolution welcomes Mr. Anthony D. Collins, Motivational Speaker; Author; Professional Blogger and Popular Host of several radio shows.
Collins writes in one of his recent blogs titled
“Kings Taking Back Our Responsibility”
“One of my favorite scenes in the movie “Malcolm X” (played by Denzel Washington) is when he started talking to Betty Shabazz (played by Angela Bassett), saying: “I am very hard on our women because they are the foundation to our civilization.” I totally agree with Malcolm X, but I have decided to take a different role today. It’s time for productive Kings to be hard on our unproductive Kings”.
Collins will share his positive outlook on life and the lessons he has learned towards overcoming adverse situation. He is “Aggressively DEMANDING Change” and is committed to inspiring others to embrace life and do the same.

On this journey called LIFE, Deborah has acquired a passion for helping those who find themselves stuck in the muck and mire of their own life’s challenges.
As a survivor and victor of emotional & physical abuse, rape and mental health illness, she understands how external events can create an internal mindset of captivity. With the desire to break herself free, she purposed to become first a doer and then a sharer.
Sharing from the depth of wisdom and experiences, she became a panel member and speaker with a local group who conducted monthly sessions on EMPOWERMENT. Then as a co-host on a weekly internet talk show, she engaged listeners during a weekly segment called “DEBORAH’S GROWTH FACTOR.”
Her segment “THE GROWTH FACTOR WITH DEBORAH PAGE” deals with a variety of timely subjects centered on the topic of MENTAL HEALTH ILLNESS in our communities and how we can learn to “GROW FORWARD” in life. She desires that her partnership with “This Needs To Be Said Media” will help to shed light on what the process of change looks like. Offering individuals the opportunity to start the process of change from right where they are.

The Anthony & B.Fly Show is honored to have such an talented individual being showcased on our show. Her Bio left me speechless with her accomplishments. Join us this Sunday as we showcase "Alretha Thomas"
Shortly after graduating from USC with a degree in journalism, Alretha soon realized her interest in her major was not heartfelt. Instead of writing news stories, she wanted to write plays and books. Several years later, her church gave her an outlet to fulfill her writing desires through their Liturgical Fine Arts Department wherein Alretha penned twelve theatre pieces—the community response was overwhelming.
This led to plays outside of the church, including Alretha’s “One, Woman Two Lives,” starring Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show), directed by four-time NAACP Image Award Best Director recipient, Denise Dowse. The production garnered rave reviews from critics and audiences.
In between plays, Alretha’s first novel “Daughter Denied” was launched in 2008 and in 2011, Alretha launched “Dancing Her Dreams Away.” Her third novel, “Married in the Nick of Nine” was launched in 2012 and is taking readers and reviewers across the country by storm. “The Baby in the Window,” the standalone sequel to “Married in the Nick of Nine,” is Alretha’s fourth novel.
