On this special edition of Recovery Radio Fresno, Zoyer Zyndel will be discussing some of the problems that Fresno's LGBTQ faces. Here is a little about Zoyer.
Zoyer Zachary Zyndel received his Bachelor's in English from Fresno State in 2012. He is currently in the Master's in Social Work program at Fresno State and is interning at Westcare. He has been an organizer with the LGBTQ+ community for 10 years. He is the current chair of Trans-E-Motion, an organization that works to improve the lives of transgender people through advocacy, education, and support in Fresno and surrounding communities. Zoyer has been involved in bringing awareness to LGBTQ+ issues at both the Fresno City College and Fresno State campus communities. He has served on the board of PFLAG Fresno, a support group for parents, families, and friends of the LGBTQ+ community. Zoyer has played an active role in public relations and as a political liaison for the Fresno Rainbow Pride committee, a group responsible for hosting the annual Fresno Pride Parade and Festival in Fresno's Tower District. Zoyer has a strong beliefs toward social justice, and enjoys educating others about transgender issues and experiences while working towards building a safer and an inclusive community.

The group members are Jacob Ostos aka Spitz Da Flame, Krysten Ortiz the singer, Darren Lanney the preacher and Cajon player, and Daijha Thomas the acoustic guitarist. Are main objective in the group is to spread the gospel through our music. We are a Christian based group and are target audience is Christians and unbelievers. We tell stories from real life situations of peoples lives from a third person point of view. We also make songs that glorify are Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We perform wherever we are needed to spread the gospel."

Bill Henry joined Army immediately upon high school graduation. He did multiple tours Vietnam, and was treated for both obvious, and then not so obvious wounds. Bill is the Past President of Vietnam Veterans of America Omaha. He started a Memorial Day ceremony at Memorial Park Omaha, now the largest in Nebraska,restored Korea Vietnam Memorial 1997 Omaha Memorial Park, and has a permanent static display Sac Museum of articles left at the Wall. Bill is a Member of Heroes of the Heartland Foundation, Returning Veterans Resource Network, Nebraska Veterans Coalition, Nebraska Appreciation Rally. He is presently training to become Peer Counselor for PTSD.
Bill started the Missing in America Project, January 2013. The purpose of the MIA Project is to locate, identify and inter the unclaimed cremated remains of American veterans through the joint efforts of private, state and federal organizations. To provide honor and respect to those who have served this country by securing a final resting place for these forgotten heroes.
This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. Guests introduce topics, and survivor's share their experience, strength and hope. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. More will be revealed! Tune in, stop in and call in. Personality Speaking features James (Ronnie) and Cheryl Germany who we discuss with me the topic of "Your Missionary Personality". James and Cheryl have traveled on multiple missionary trips. They are involved with several organizations that takes missionary work very seriously. We will be discussing how The Personalities views missionary work.
James and Cheryl Germany are residents of Clarksburg, Maryland. James is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and Cheryl is a native of Washington, D.C. They met 40 years ago and were high school sweethearts. They rekindled their love for each after a 10 year break and together raised a blended family of 6children. The couple has 3 grandchildren and are very excited empty nesters! James and Cheryl have been married for over 24 years.
The couple has served the Kingdom of God in various capacities for close to 30 years. Today, the couple continues the ministry of servanthood by remaining committed local and international ministries that include Credo Recovery Ministry, Life is Hope Orphanage, Lilies, Spiritual Warriors, and Water Boyz. The couple will be returning to Haiti on December 27 to serve at the Life is Hope Orphanage. James attended Azusa Pacific Seminary between 1997 and 1998. Cheryl plans to attend Capital Bible College in 2014.
Tonight - two old timers with brain injuries - Constance Miller and Ken Collins will share lessons they have learned during their recovery process. Combined - Constance and Ken have almost 80 years experience living with brain injury. Their lives have never been the same since their brain injuries but now through their self-help efforts have overcome many of the pitfalls people with brain injurie face everyday. Constance and Ken want to share with you some tips that will make living with a brain injury easier. They would also like to hear from you about how you are doing and what you are experiencing. Come join the round table conversation with Constance and Ken because they wouldn't be here without you. Everyone has something to learn after brain injury and your experience is valued, respected and worth learning from. There is more than one way to accomplish something.
