On tonight's show we cover mini-pigs, animals that make great pets & even go into what it means to be a Vegan & different diets. I for one am a Vegan in training, as I have not quite yet perfected the art of what it means to be a Vegan, but I certainly try my best, and I briefly talk about this towards the end of the show as well as talking about different diets & why they may not be as safe as you think. We ran out of time, so the talk on this was light. Most of the show focused on what different lovely animals would make great pets.

Does your pet have dry eye? According to dvm360 Magazine , dry eye is a condition in which the tear production is decreased or absent. Common clinical signs associated with this disease are:
Squinting or holding the eye completely closed
A thick, sticky discharge that is often yellowish or greenish in color
Corneal cloudiness creating a dull sheen to the eye(s)
The superficial layers of the eye, including the cornea and conjunctiva, as well as the eyelids depend on tears for nutrition and protection. Without tears, these structures are highly susceptible to disease and trauma.
Some breeds of dogs, such as the American Cocker Spaniel, Miniature Schnauzer, Poodle, Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Pug, Westhighland White Terrier, and English Bulldog are predisposed to this disease due to genetic factors. This clinical disease is also seen in felines (i.e. Persians). The causes of dry eye include immune-mediated, congenital, infectious (canine distemper virus), drug-induced (sulfa antibiotics, Etogesic, topical atropine), surgery-induced (removal of the tear gland of the nictitans) and neurogenic. A significant amount of canine cases tend to be immune-mediated and maintenance treatment is required for the life of the pet. Parotid duct transposition surgery can be considered if medical treatment fails to significantly increase the tear production.
Our goals in the medical therapy of your pet are to: 1) Improve tear function, 2) prevent ocular disease and 3) improve patient comfort. Client compliance and follow-up visits are important in evaluating your pet’s response to the medical therapy.

Join Animal Energy Behaviorist and Animaleze® founder, Susanne Peach, as she discusses what she’s termed “Generaltional Energy,” which can be a contributor to physical, emotional and/or behavioral issues.
Using Animaleze®, Susanne’s work with animals, she has discovered that some animals suffer because of expectations, judgments, and projections put on them, sometimes even before they are born.
She’ll discuss some success stories such as the horse whose grandfather was Secretariat, who was arguably the world’s best racehorse. When Secretariat retired from racing, he was bred many times in the hopes and expectations to produce more talented race horses, generation after generation. But Susanne discovered in working with this granddaughter of Secretariat that these expectations were a large contributor to this mare’s health issues.
Learn how you might also unknowingly be projecting certain expectations onto your own companimals (companion animals.) Susanne will describe how she was even guilty of this just recently with her own dog, Samson.
Join Susanne to hear about this unusual topic that’s been one of the keys to her success in using EFT on animals.
Call in to 1-347-215-6833 during the show to ask her specific questions about your own animal.

What Constitutes Animal Cruelty? Acts of violence or neglect made against animals are considered animal cruelty. Examples include overt abuse, dog fighting, and being neglected or denied the basic necessities of care, such as food, water, shelter, sanitation, grooming and veterinary care.
Neglect is the failure to provide an animal with the most basic of requirements of food, water, shelter and veterinary care.Neglect is often the result of simple ignorance on the animal owner's part and is usually handled by requiring the owner to correct the situation. If the problem is not corrected, the animal may be removed from the neglectful person by law enforcement authorities. In some cases, the owner will simply turn the animal over to authorities because they no longer want the responsibility.
Intentional Cruelty is often more shocking and usually an indicator of a serious human behavior problem. Intentional cruelty is when an individual purposely inflicts physical harm or injury on an animal.
The NJSPCA has trained investigators with the authority to arrest and prosecute those individuals who have deliberately maimed, tortured or even killed animals.
Someone who is violent towards animals may be violent towards family members or other people.
Enforcement of Animal Cruelty laws is the primary responsibility of the NJSPCA and it's investigators. We handle complaints daily in all 21 counties throughout the State.
Many people who witness, or hear about cruelty, are not aware that legal action can be taken to help stop the problem. Companion animals are covered by the State of New Jersey's animal cruelty laws. Generally, animal cruelty can be divided into two categories: Neglect and Intentional Cruelty:
