SORT BY Relevancy
On this week’s edition of Scottscope Talk Radio, the roundtable reviews Dawn of the Planet of the Apes! Is it as good as Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Is it actually better? Might it actually be the best film of the summer? How good is Andy Serkis’s motion capture performance this time out? Is it a career best for him? Is Caesar possibly the most complex hero to grace the silver screen this summer? Can Dawn be considered a loose remake of Battle for the Planet of the Apes? Does the new, rebooted Apes franchise retain the spirit of the original films? Will Caesar be appearing in future Apes films, or will the mantle be passed down to one of his sons? Is the film too heavy handed in regards to its social commentary and political allegories?
We’ll also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of John Woo’s immortal action classic, The Killer! Is it John Woo’s best work? Does it contain Chow Yun Fat’s single greatest performance? Is he one of the most iconic action heroes of his era? Can it be considered the best “Heroic Bloodshed” film ever made? Is it in the same class as Le Samouraï or Chang Cheh’s Vengeance? Is it the single best film ever made about a lone hitman/assassin? Could the film be taken as an unintentional comedy? Should it be loved sincerely or ironically? Why was the film more warmly received abroad than at home? Should we count ourselves lucky that the proposed Hollywood remake never made it out of development Hell?

Is a private meeting with a web cam girl cheating? Is asking a girlfriend who's been raped to fulfill your rape fantasy bad form? Why are guys so against 2 guy/1 girl threesomes? Hey y'all! Welcome to the Thursday's episode of The Quirky World of Mama Char! Tonight's episode is about L.O.V.E. The one emotion that we all share, need it desperately but have the hardest time finding!
Join me as we talk with Psychologist, Certified Neurosculpting Facilitor and #1 International Best Selling Author, Zemirah Jazwierska about her upcoming book "Shangri-LOVE, living your love story with you". She will expand on how and why we chase something that is already dwelling within us but seems to evade us every day and her strategy for finding it! She will be looking for volunteers (only 5) so you need to listen in to take advantage. You can find Zemirah over at her site Shangri-LOVE.com.
In keeping with our theme, our music tonight is by an Australian based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Andrew Peacock (so cute...he asked Mama Char why she called him "baby boy")! Andy's song "You deserve to be loved" is crisp, clean and spot on with tonight's episode. Learn more about baby boy, Andrew Peacock at facebook.com/andrewpeacockmusic, iTunes and his website andrewpeacock.com.au.
And as always, you can find me at mamachar.com or on ALL social media sites as @mamacharblessed.
I look forward to getting your feedback on this and any episodes aired on The Quirky World of Mama Char. That is how I know if you are being blessed OR NOT by this show.

Let's Go Mex joins Dave to get into the state of the NFL during a tumultuous month. Last week it was Ray Rice. This week we cover Adrian Peterson's ongoing issues with child abuse of his children, the Vikings' response, and the NFL's response. Was it too sudden for the Vikings to activate Adrian Peterson after keeping him out a week ago and with new child abuse allegations in effect? Will the Vikes' move to start him even stand as sponsors decline their support of their team? PLUS a look at the upcoming NFL matchups, as the game continues on the field. Next, we have Week 3 of our Podcast Picks with a four way tie in the standings! Will Ron, John, Andy, or Ottis break the tie with their NCAA and NFL picks? An exciting week of picks ahead AND Kevin on the Cape returns for "Random Questions" in Hour 2. We'll begin the second half of the cfcl.com 100 question survey and throw in our own thoughts about football, fall, music, and life. Perhaps we'll get Junk-man's thoughts about who will do best in the Baseball Postseason. A busy show for a wild week in sports.
The Gridiron Nation returns for another season of the most opinionated football talk you will hear on BTR - this time on the National Gridiron Network. Join "the Heartthrob" G.W. Gras as he and the "supa produca" Brian Mejia give their unique insight and views on the sport we all love.
Join us at 8:00 EST / 5:00 PST for the realest football talk you'll hear. We hold nothing back and feelings might get hurt.
