If the legendary 2012 NFL Draft could be redone, who would you draft first: Russell Wilson or Andrew Luck? Our panelists will explore that along with week 3 in the NFL, week 4 in College Football and SEC dominance plus our Power 5 NFL teams, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and their struggles and much, much more.
This podcast we'll discuss this past weekend's NFC and AFC Championship Games. There's a lot to talk about dealing with Deflate Gate as well as Seattle's epic comeback for the ages when others thought they were deflated and out of air. Also, Andrew Luck and his legacy 3 years into the National Football League, as well as his impressive Marshawn Lynch impression, and even the NBA's Russell Westbrook tries at it!
In this episode of The Red Light Sports Ramble, presented by The Red Light Sports Network, Evan Witalison and Troy Otradovec will preview the AFC Championship Game. This will be the fifth post season meeting between the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots. The Patriots lead the series 3-1, each team has won at home.
Both teams are powered by their quarterbacks. Andrew Luck and Tom Brady have both passed for over 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, this year. Neither team has a 1,000 yard running back. In the Divisional Round, the Patriots only called seven running plays. Tom Brady did have six rushes for zero yards. Daniel Herron has been the main back, in Indianapolis. However, he is being used more as a receiver (18 catches for 118 yards).
Which team will reign, on Sunday night, and represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLIX? Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
Today we will be choppin it up about the upcoming NFL season. Did Drake ether Meek Mill? Desean Jackson: Revis, Sherman can't stop me. Should Ray Rice be allowed to play in the NFL again? Adrian Peterson aiming to rush for 2,500 yards this upcoming NFL season. Is Andrew Luck the best quarterback in the NFL?
"With the second pick in the NFL draft, the Tennessee Titans select Marcus Mariota" and "With the third pick in the NFL draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select Dante Fowler, Jr." The AFC South proudly had the Indianapolis Colts, in the AFC Championship game. However, they also had two teams that drafed second and third, respectively.
The Indianapolis Colts have won back to back AFC East titles, and played in the AFC Championship. Andrew Luck has been everything the Colts hoped for when they drafted him with the first pick. Offensively, they can line up against defense and put up points. The finished third in passing offense, but a disappointing 22nd, in rushing. Defensively, the ranked a modest 11th, in yards allowed. The lack of pass rush was evident, in the AFC Championship. Through the draft and free agency, the Colts added Andre Johnson, Frank Gore, and Phillip Dorsett. Two areas of concern: the offensive line and defense.
Houston finished 9-7, and made the division race interesting, at one point. However, J.J. Watt can not do everything even though he tried. This team is the complete opposite of the Colts. They win with defense. They added Vince Wolfork, and are hoping that Jadeveon Clowney can return from his knee injury, and be as good as advertised. Adrian Foster is going to miss significant time, which will hurt an already struggling offense. The biggest question will be quarterback play. They traded for Ryan Mallett last year, let Ryan Fitzpatrick leave, but Brian Hoyer is listed as the starting quarterback. There should be no concern about defense, but offensively there are huge question marks.
On the show today, it's part three of our NFL Previews for 2015. We're taking an in-depth look at the AFC and NFC South divisions. There's a lot of interesting fantasy options in these divisions, including the top two picks in the 2015 NFL Draft - Jameis Winston and Marcus Mariota.
In the AFC, will Andrew Luck lead the Colts to another division crown, or will the Titans, Jaguars, and Texans make a run? Is this division the biggest runaway in the NFL?
In the NFC South, can the Panthers repeat in a division that was the worst in the NFL last year? How much improvement will we see between the Saints, Falcons, and Buccaneers?
We'll also touch base on the MLB landscape, and see the potential playoff scenarios.

The NFL is in a pass oriented stage, which means that quarterbacks can give you big points. As a whole, the average passing yards per game, in the NFL was 251.76. In the past, when a quarterback put 300 yards on the stat sheet, it usually meant that his team was playing from behind. Now, a 300 yard passing day consitutes an elite passing attack.
According to ESPN, the top five quarterbacks: Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees. The 2015 prediction, is a mirror image of how these players ended the 2014 NFL campaign. The only change is that they moved Drew Brees ahead of Ben Roethlisberger. Any of these quarterbacks would be a good selection, in your draft. If they are not available when you pick, is there a solid second tier of quarterbacks?
Each of the quarterbacks mentioned above, had over 300 fantasy points. The second tier would include those who accumulated 250-299 fantasy points. This group included 10 quarterbacks. Which of these quarterbacks can move into that 300 plus range, in 2015? Will Matt Ryan find a groove with Julio Jones? Can Ryan Tannehill keep progressing? Is Tom Brady worth drafting, depending on his suspension? Will Eli Manning prove to the world that his comments about being the highest paid QB are warrented? Does the loss of Demarco Murray effect Tony Romo's numbers? Can a healthy running game allow Philip Rivers to put up monster numbers? After addressing the wide receiver position, will Baltimore's Joe Flacco have better stats? Can Matthew Stafford cut down on his interceptions?
We answer all these questions and more on tonights episode. Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.
