And the Rest is History w/ Blacketer

    in Books

For those of you who love historical fiction, And the Rest is History is the show you won’t want to miss.

Historical author Brita Addams hosts an hour-long show on the last Tuesday of each month, starting at 3pm Eastern, 2pm Central. She’ll pick the brain of an author of historical fiction, and try to get them to divulge all the secrets they use to bring us the wonderful stories they write. Join us for an in depth discussion that can range from crafting historicals in a particular time period to what it takes to create something that authentically represents the time period. Authors spend a great deal of their time in the past and we are the lucky recipients of the fiction they write. This show will give readers the opportunity to ask questions and to get to know their favorite authors.

Featured today, author Kirsten Blacketer. Stick her in the middle of a chaotic home with two children, a hyperactive dog, and a camouflage wearing husband, and she can cook and clean with the best of them. Her characters creep forth from the dark recesses of her mind taking their places in the castles and forests built from her words. No simpering heroines linger there with forlorn gazes turned to the horizon, waiting for their Prince Charming. They straighten their spine, arming themselves with blade and bow, prepared to do their part in defense of their honor and destiny. She breathes life into the women she believes our ancestors to be, showing how they lived and loved with passion and grace.

Never bored by the tales still left to tell, she battles the ever sarcastic muse in her quest for romance.

Still striving ? Or have you entered into the Lord's rest?

    in Christianity

    Matthew 11:28-30

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.

Many Christians are heavy laden because they are still trying to do things their way.  Some of us are heavy laden because we are still trying to please God with works or by some other means that we created. Some of us are heavy laden because, like the Pharisees, we have allowed our traditions and our flesh to deceive us into thinking we have to work to please God.

The Lord Jesus Christ wants us to humbly put all of that to the side, and come to Him, the One who died for us, so He can give us the rest that we seek in Him.

Please join us for the study of God's Word.

THE TRUTH: The Forgotten History of the True Israel Part 4 -r

    in Education

They’ve rewritten history to fit their own needs. The Bible has not been rewritten yet.   Using the Bible as an anchoring point, we can go to ancient histories and history books written in the 1800’s and early 1900's to sleuth out facts that have been ignored or deleted by the so-called scholars of the past century.

Our research will bring to light facts and evidence that will support the Bible and provide you with a better understanding of God’s PLAN for Israel, the real Israel and not the modified and politicized Israel of today.

Join Allen Stein in this multipart study of the History of the Israel of the Bible.  This Program is Part IV.

White Genocide and the Decimation of a People

    in Politics Conservative

Officer Rafael Ramos sat in the driver's seat. Officer Wenjian Liu was at his side.  The two cops weren't at their usual precinct -- normally, the pair was assigned to downtown Brooklyn, but they were working a "critical response" detail in an area with higher crime, police said.  That's where they were slain, ambush-style -- Saturday afternoon as they sat in their patrol car, New York Police Commissioner William Bratton said at an evening news conference.  The gunman approached the passenger side of the patrol car and took a shooting stance, witnesses told police. He opened fire several times, striking both officers in the head, Bratton said.

They were "shot and killed with no warning, no provocation," Bratton told reporters. "They were quite simply, assassinated."  The gunman was found dead in a nearby subway station from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  (above information and story courtesy of CNN)
