Vince McKee was on the Sports Beat with Nick Camino & Andre Knott on WTAM 1100 in Cleveland last night to discuss the excerpts on SheridanHoops.com this week from his new book “The Redemption of the King.”
Highlights from the interview include the meaning behind the title, and McKee's original inspiration to write the book.
They also covered the best parts of the book -- but also the most difficult parts of the book to write.
Among topics discussed were LeBron's epic Game 5 of the 2007 NBA Eastern Conference finals, as well as the hard fought series loss to the Orlando Magic in the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals.
It was a fun and informative interview that will keep fans excited about the excerpts on Sheridanhoops, as well as the book in general.
Dwyane Wade leads the NBA in fourth-quarter scoring. His team has defeated LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers twice during the regular season when the Cavs have traveled to Miami.
If there is one potential matchup that is going to make the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs interesting, it is Heat vs. Cavaliers. As the standings look now, a 2 vs. 7 matchup between the teams could take place. But Miami could still fall to No. 8 or rise to No. 6, and then the Eastern Conference first round will be a cure for insomnia.
That was only one of the topics of discussion this morning as I went on the air with Sid Rosenberg on 640-AM WFTL in Miami. We hit on Commissioner Adam Silver, the New York Knicks, the Atlanta Hawks and the tight Western Conference playoff race -- which is making folks on the Eastern seaboard nervous.
Give a listen for a quick trip around he NBA -- including a brief look back at last summer when I was the first journalist to report that LeBron James would be leaving the Miami Heat and joining the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It's Bowl Season!
Inspectah Ant & M. Bowden will preview the first ever College Football Playoffs and tell you who we think will the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl. Ant & Bowden will also break down the other New Year's day Bowl games.

Also, will LeBron be one and done in Cleveland?
The Cleveland Cavaliers have cleared the cap space to make a max offer to LeBron James by trading Jarrett Jack, Tyler Zeller and Sergei Karasev (along with a first-round draft pick) in a three-way deal with Boston and Brooklyn.
So one major impediment is out of the way.
But as we head into the final 12 hours of the NBA's signing moratorium, there remains a lot of skepticism that James will return to his original NBA team.
I covered that topic at length in this post on SheridanHoops.com, with a source telling me there is a 90 percent chance James returns to Cleveland.
And I spoke today on WFAN in New York with Sid Rosenberg and Marc Malusis, taking on their skepticism.
LeBron James has elected to opt out of his deal with the Miami Heat. What does this mean? Should it comes as a surprise? Will he stay in Miami? Is he a bum if he leaves? If he does leave, where will he go? Should he stay in the Eastern Conference because it's easier? Also, I'll go over some of the NBA Draft prospects that aren't ranked at the top. I'll discuss who I like out of the batch of top power forward prospects as well.
LeBron James met in person with the Cleveland Cavaliers over the weekend.
On Sunday night, the infamous Dan Gilbert rant from 2010 disappeared from the Cavs Web site.
This morning, I reported that James' inner circle -- from his wife to his business manager to his best friends -- are unanimous in their belief that James should return to the Cleveland Cavaliers as a free agent.
Pat Riley and the Miami Heat will get another chance to sell James on their vision and their plans for the next few years, and that meeting will happen in Las Vegas after James arrives there Monday.
By Wednesday, when James' camp opens, this story should take several more twists and turns.
For a reading on where things stood as of Monday morning, I went on the Jeff Blair Show in Toronto and discussed the latest developments.
LeBron James: "I'm coming home."
The saga is over. In an exclusive personal essay published on SI.com, LeBron James announced his decision to return to Cleveland after leaving the Cavaliers in favour of the Miami Heat just four years ago.
With the King off the market, it is time for the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Pau Gasol to make their decisions.
On this week's edition of NBA Live Talk, we provide our insight regarding LeBron's decision to return to Cleveland and bring you up-to-date with the latest free agency rumours.
