Manny Pacquiao vs Christopher Algieri Post Fight Review

    in Sports

Manny Pacquiao’s  aura of invincibility and dominance in the sport of boxing  continues after his outstanding performance in Macau, China. Chris Algieri did provide Pacquiao with a bit of a puzzle to solve in the early rounds, but eventually Pacquiao made the necessary adjustments to completely outclass his opponent.

From the opening bell Algieri remained tentative of avoiding any of Pacquiao’s power shots. He constantly used lateral movement, and Pacquiao had a difficult time cutting off the ring. Algieri was trying to get in a rhythm but accidentally slipped and the referee counted it as a knockdown. Algieri seemed flustered, but this was just the start of bad things to come. Thriver Show #20 - Jill

    in Relationships

This story is one of an incredibly courageous lady who suffers many debilitating auto-immune illnesses – ulcerative colitis, arthritis, fibro myalgia, migraines and Multiple Sclerosis.

Jill suffers from extreme fatigue, and has no support with my 3 kids, and then all of this, naturally, was made so much harder as a result of the huge double-whammy of narcissistic abuse.

Jill’s life-changing realisation was that she had been focusing on others her whole life, and that she had always been trying to be “perfect” for others. She was over-functioning as an over-achiever, as a successful business woman, and having to have a perfect home and life.

Her life now has changed considerably as a result of finding out and focusing on her needs and what she really wants.

In this show she talks about the shift she got out of NARP –“I am loveable for all I am ‘not’ as well as all that I am”. Jill also talks about how this led her to start enjoying the simple things in life, smiling, laughing and spending time with her kids.

Jill’s children also started shifting as a result of their mother transforming.

I know you will enjoy this incredible show, and it will give you hope, if you too have suffered narcissistic abuse on top of crippling health conditions.

GPS Your Career: Bonnie Marcus: Lateral Career Moves Still Get You Ahead

    in Women

It takes tremendous resilience to succeed as a leader in business today. Executives are constantly trying to keep up with the changing world and make the right decisions for their company, their teams, and themselves. With all the clutter of information out there, how can executives focus to make the right decisions? What forces can derail them?

My guest this week, Dr. Jacqui Grey, says that their gremlins get in the way. The beliefs we have about ourselves contribute to how we behave and react and these beliefs can often lead us astray, cause us much anxiety and stress unless we deal with them, and keep us from being effective leaders.

Jacqui Grey, author of Executive Advantage: Resilient Leadership for the 21st Century, has worked globally for blue-chip companies on innovative leadership development programs and has a special interest in the development of top female talent. With a background in law and in HR at Board Level, she has worked for Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse, RBS,and Barclays, Cisco and many other leading companies. She has a doctorate in Executive Anxiety and presents regularly at leadership conferences and business schools.
