    in Current Events

    Greetings all,

This is a great month if you are into pipes and drums music. While in the midst of debuting lots of music by The Rogues, I also came to an agreement with the The American Rogues. They recently supplied me with some music from their live album, which they performed with the Air Force Band.

  • Friday night baseball; the American League wildcard race is becoming interesting

    in Sports

The American League wildcard race is heating up heading into September.  Six teams are within 2.5 games of claiming the final wild card spot.  The Torono Blue Jays and New York Yankees will battle for the American League East title, with the runner up most likely being the number one wildcard.  The Houston Astros have increased their lead to five games, over the Texas Rangers.  Kansas City continues to cruise at 78-49, which is the best record in the American League.

The National League playoff picture is beginning to take form.  The Pittsburgh PIrates and Chicago Cubs have a strong hold over the San Francisco Giants.  The Giants are only 2.5 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers, in the NL West, and that could be the only way they will make the postseason.  The New York Mets have increased their lead in the NL East to 6.5 games, while the St. Loius Cardinals just keep winning and have the best record in baseball.

With September baseball, on the horizon, is there a team that will put together a big winning streak and make a surprise run into the postseason?  Listen in and call the show with your thoughts.

Black American Woman Entrepreneur- Cassandra Bell-Gash

    in Professional

Black Americans have struggled to make a way out of no way for centuries. Faced with rampant racism and discrimination, industrious Black Americans  do for self, launching their own businesses. The number of businesses owned by Black American women grew 322% since 1997, making black females the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in the United States. Women now own 30% of all businesses in the U.S., accounting for some 9.4 million firms. And Black American women control 14% of these companies, or an estimated 1.3 million businesses. The growth in women-owned firms may be due to the lack of fair pay, fair promotion, and family-friendly policies found in corporate America. Women of color are impacted more significantly by all of the negative factors that women face.

The highest concentrations of black woman-owned businesses are in Georgia, Maryland, and Illinois, but Black American women are launching companies in growing numbers across the country. Cassandra Bell-Gash launched a Medicaid waiver care in North Carolina in 2003 and grew the business into a million-dollar venture only to get sabotaged by bureaucratic mumbo-gumbo that delayed payments and interfered with client services forcing her to close in 2008. No untoward findings were made, but the interference caused Ms. Bell-Gash to close her business and regroup. Bell-Gash is unusual among entrepreneurs of any race or gender in that she employed more than just herself. Black American Women have an incredibly steep incline trying to do two things: one is just to be successful, and the other is to create wealth. Cassandra Bell-Gash relaunched her company, Life Provisions,Inc. (LPI) this Spring 2015 saying she was "delayed, but not detered".

What is Liberty? Dr Marlene McMillan

    in Politics

    AGENDA 21

Do you ever wonder if a memo was sent to every elected official, government spokesperson, and media outlet to remind us all of the importance of sustainability. What does that word mean to you? What if it were code for making you unsustainable and bringing an end to your liberties?

The more you know about Agenda 21, the more you will be pleading with God for a great awakening to happen in our land. The promoters of Agenda 21 not only had a plan, they started implementing their plan over 50 years ago. They were patient, calculating, and strategic. We have been asleep, self-indulged, and disconnected. This is our wake up call.

     About Dr. Marlene McMillan

Dr. Marlene McMillan has spent a lifetime learning the principles of Liberty and passing them on to others. Seminary left her with lots of Bible knowledge about "spiritual" things but lacking an understanding of what the Bible said about cultural things like law, government, history, economics and education. She continued her passion for applying the Bible in every area of daily life while raising and homeschooling her seven children.
