Its ambitious goal: sell everything to everyone everywhere.A recent article in The New York Times —“Inside Amazon: Wrestling Big Ideas in a Bruising Workplace” — offered a glimpse into what could be described as a workplace that is both bruising and thrilling. It gave accounts of workers who suffered from cancer, miscarriages and other personal crises who said they had been evaluated unfairly or edged out rather than given time to recover in Amazon’s intense and fast-paced workplace. We make a live call to Amazon to get a comment.

Amazon #1 Bestseller! From Chaos to Clarity: Getting Unstuck & Creating A Life You Love By Alex Bratty A soup-to-nuts guide for how to recognize why you’re stuck, how to unstick it, and how to create a life you want – a life that works for you!
Alex Bratty was a superstar in the public-opinion polling field. One of the youngest partners ever in a prestigious Washington research firm, her job was to listen to people and find out what they think and how they feel. She tuned into their emotional responses to get deeply in touch with their “whys” in life. The irony is that during the 15 years she was rising to the very top of her field, she wasn’t listening to her own inner voice to discover her true emotions, to pay attention to her deepest desires and to understand why she was so miserably stuck in her own life!
Through tremendous trial and error, she finally found her way. And now she’s giving other people the shortcut--through her remarkable book From Chaos to Clarity: Getting Unstuck & Creating a Life You Love--the essential quick-start guide to getting your life back on track. Who amongst us hasn’t felt stuck at one time or another? Maybe you’re stuck right now! We all know that feeling of not knowing what to do next, or how to break out of the same old patterns of behavior, or listening to all that negative chatter that tells us we’re not enough. As Alex puts it, when this happens, we keep ourselves running in place, playing small and safe. From Chaos to Clarity, an Amazon.com #1 bestseller, gives you the tools to take back control of your life, to stop struggling and to focus on how to create a life you truly want, rather than one you think you should want. .

About the Book
When you hear a doctor say “If you don’t have massive blood transfusions now, you’ll die before morning” you know you’re in trouble. These words began a difficult journey as doctors tried to save my life after a massive bacterial infection invaded my body. It had eaten away portions of the lower discs and vertebrae in my spine, destroyed a kidney and gave me brain damage. Months in hospital, many more in a full body cast (from neck to knee) and two years to learn to walk again, speak more than three words in a sentence and get brain function back – plus rebuild a life with my young children. But this isn’t a sad story. I am taking you on a raw, authentic and emotional trek through losing my children, nearly dying, losing my home and having to regain skills and rebuild a life for my family. This is a story of hope and inspiration. I have taken each negative and turned it into a life lesson that anyone can apply every day to live a fuller life. My wish is that this book gives you hope!

(i.e. claims of racism are now being levied against Harvard University for defaced photos of Black law school faculty members); Dburt does a reversal on the debate over allowing Syrian refugees into the US; in the wake of the Paris and Mali attacks, are African-Americans as invested in the terrorism debate as the general public?
