September 23, 2011 was a dismal day in the Soap Opera community as ABC let down the guillotine on the iconic Soap "All My Children" and aired it's very last episode .... Or so we th0ught.. It was announced that "Prospect Park" was going to take over the soap and begin airing it an online format, and then not too long after they announced that they were going to Save the Soaps, they had to back out because of.. well who cares about that now.. CAUSE THEY ARE FINALLY BACK!! Prospect Park came through for all of the soap fans worldwide and the actors and stayed the rough & rocky course to get the shows back to the fans.. April 29th yo will be able to see the very first episodes of "All my Children" and "One Life to Live" in there new format online via hulu, hulu plus and itunes. The shows are set to run in 30 minute episodes 4 days a week. AMC's favorite "Jill Larson" who portrays "Opal Cortlandt" will be stopping by to chat about the show, and we can't wait to hear the feedback from the fans!

Settling in NYC, Morgan debuted as Angie on ABC's "All My Children" in the early 80s. Coupled romantically onscreen with Darnell Williams, the pair were one of the first blacks to headline a major soap love story. During her long tenure on the show, Morgan earned two Daytime Emmy nominations, winning the trophy in 1989. She was also able to fit in other work as well, including hosting the syndicated "New York Hot Tracks" from 1984 to 1986 and co-starring with Dorian Harewood in "The Jesse Owens Story" (syndicated, 1984) and "Guilty of Innocence: The Lennel Jeter Story" (CBS, 1986). After leaving "All My Children", Morgan assumed the role of Chantal on the Los Angeles-based NBC soap "Generations", then reprised her award-winning part on ABC's "Loving" in 1993.

♥Since AMC is back to business, I thought it'd be fun to chat with Doc D himself, Vincent Irizarry! Poor Dr. D appears to still be doing his time although he's finally out of prison. No one will give him the time of day and he believes Cara had an abortion! When will things turn around for Doc? We'll have to stayed tuned, but iin the meanwhile, we'll chat w/Vincent about the return and entering the online revolution of new media on the net!
♥We'll also update you on all the latest in the soap world!

Two weeks ago we talked about femslash from Harry Potter, in the wake of the conclusion of seven books AND eight movies. Tonight we move on to a different kind of ending, the involuntary kind. For five decades the ABC daytime drama "All My Children" ran five days a week, fifty-two weeks a year, with some of the most recognizable actors in soap operas. It tackled important, controversial social issues when few others would - abortion, HIV, transgender, etc. Perhaps the most well-known example of this was when Bianca Montgomery, cherished daughter of central character Erica Kane, came out of the closet to her mother. Since then Bianca went on to have a slew of relationships with other women - Frankie, Lena, Maggie, Reese, and so on - all of which seemed to end in heartbreak. Now that fans have started to fall in love with the newest pairing of Bianca and Marissa, however, ABC announced that All My Children would be cancelled in favor of more reality programming. Granted, it's going to have a second life on the Internet, but it's too early to know what kind of changes we're going to see. In light of the fact that AMC is about to air its last episode on commercial television ever, we're spending the show talking about not only the history of Bianca's love life on AMC, but also our reactions to the cancellation and our fondest and least-favorite memories from the show. I'll be joined once again by Dreiser, as well as fellow fans Jetgirl and past guest QQSuited.
