Bio~ I then went on to focus on my own music and recorded my debut album (Look Inside) in 2006. It ended up winning an award in the Los Angeles Music Awards for best Adult Alternative Americana Album of the Year in 2006. Not a bad way to start. I spent the next few year playing shows, writing songs, recording songs, and then ended up making a live DVD with fellow Laguna-in, Matt Russell and his company SongCheck Live. I got a great band together (Nate Wood, his wife Jesske Hume, Sean Woolstenhulme, and Tyler Chester) and we recorded live at The Coach House in San juan Capistrano on March 30th, 2008. The DVD (SongCheck Live Presents Alec Bridges Live at The Coach House) was released in June, 2009.. (read more)

This week’s episode of The Autoimmune Hour is all about how to keep moving forward even when you don’t feel like it. I know, it happens to me too…I find a new “solution,” do a deep dive and then realize “nope, that’s not the answer” or I vow to stay on target with a new program and lose focus and momentum half way through… It’s easy to get discouraged when you still hurt and feel crummy even after trying so hard.
That’s why The Autoimmune Hour on Life Interrupted Radio welcomes back our resident Health, Wellness and Life Coach Roberta Mittman where she will share great ways to stay on target, keep going and staying healthy after the passion of the new year resolutions starts to wear off….
Look, we are six weeks into the year — and that’s where the “futzing-out” starts to creep in…. Are you where you thought you would be? I’m not… If not, I encourage you to join me, Sharon Sayler, host of The Autoimmune Hour on Life Interrupted Radio and Roberta Mittman to find out how to overcome what's keeping you stuck.
Roberta’s quest and “quiet” revolution is in spreading the word that it’s never too late to attain the life (and body) you want. Drop in to The Autoimmune Hour this Friday February 12th at 7PM ET to get inspired.
Roberta Mittman is a health and wellness coach and Founder of the Park Avenue Center for Wellbeing. Specializing in weight and stress management, confidence coaching and acupuncture, Roberta bridges the gap between traditional physicians and alternative health care practitioners.

Can’t think of a better thing to do when hanging out in a super modern city like Seoul, South Korea then to go for a bike ride. It’s a great way to see another side of life here besides the typical tourist things like visiting temples, museums and going shopping plus it’s so up close to everyday life here.
I actually got my idea for this ride from the latest Lonely Planet Korea guide with a few modifications to the route. Let’s call them accidental modifications. I started out from Yeouido Park where you can rent bikes starting at 3000 won an hour, about $2.50 USD. Yeouido is considered the mecca for cycling in Seoul.
First stop was the Mapo Bridge where there is a designated cycle path making it safe and convenient to check out the views.
The Han River is the fourth longest river on the Korean Peninsula with a total length of almost 500km. This river was once a very large trade route with China through the Yellow Sea however due to estuary location at the borders of North and South Korea the river is no longer actively used for navigation.
An exit ramp from the other side of the bridge takes you to the north side of the river with great cycling paths. Keeping to the left on this path will continue your journey along the Han River. The destination for this cycle is the Seoul World Cup Stadium, built for the FIFA World Cup in 2002.
A great view of the beautiful domed National Assembly Building across the river. the legislative branch of the South Korean national government.
Keep riding along the path past this cliff and under the Yanghwa and Seongsan Bridges.
Excerpts from "Cycling The Megalopolis Of Seoul".

Medicine Improv is a very physical form of creative expression. We draw on elements of play, improvisation, free-writing, music, meditation, Yoga, intention setting dance, ensemble building techniques, character and story creation, as well as movement exercises as a way of discovering the story that wants to emerge. This is a safe, open ended space where we are invited to awaken our creative being and come back to a natural sense of play, allowing for a story to emerge almost as if by accident. We use a variety of methods ranging from over the top comedic physical expression to more vulnerable internal heart/mind/body exploration as a way to find that depth of story together.
Developed by Asher Lyons, Medicine Theater bridges it's own unique physical style of play along with exercises and games first developed by Viola Spolin, (the internationally recognized originator of Chicago's The Second City Improv). Medicine Theater draws on elements of improv, ensemble building techniques, character and story creation, intention setting, meditation, and Yoga in order to liberate our body, tap into our intuitive knowing, and awaken our creative play which is our birthright; giving a voice back to the parts of us that have been voiceless.
