White skin people have more control. Black skin people find themselves being told what to do and when to do it. Well, it is not exactly this way but there was a time it was only this way. Inequality in America is about the color of a person's skin. There are other issues but the greatest of them all are the color of a person's skin. Today, there are those who would choose for it be back as it once was. The best thing to prevent America going backwards is voting. Lots of Americans do not vote. For whatever reasons lots of Americans will tell you they just don't vote because it doesn't do any good.
Well if you go into a store to make a purchse, you have to shop around and find what you want. You may see several different kinds but you have to decide which one is best for you, based on a variety of issues. If it turns out the brand you selected was a mistake, the next time you pick another brand. You continue until you have what is best for you. If you don't make a choice, you get what the store owner want you to have, or you get what is left over. This is a lot like voting. It does help when you made the choice. If the choice proves to not be best for you, you don't choose that one the next time. You have to come to understand come Nov 4, 2014 there will be voting across America. Every person of voting age and eligibility must help the country by voting. People need jobs, a raise in minimum wages, immigration reform, the right to vote is being threathened, medicaid expansion and even the newly Democratic ACA law, is under threat of being repealed. All these issues and many others are at stake of being lost to the millions of Americans if not enough Americans go out and vote Nov 4, 2014. Register to Vote. Get out the Vote. Vote in the midtern elections for Democrats for better choices after high school /college.

Randy Cooper has had many jobs and careers, ranging from lumberjack in the woods of the Pacific Northwest to serving as a special education teacher, from an operator at a Westinghouse plant to a developer and teacher of the Total Quality Management program at two of their facilities. As an artist, he credits his attention to detail to this latter experience at Westinghouse. Randy's mother was a master carver of birds and gunstocks, and one of his sisters is an accomplished painter, sculptor, and author. It wasn’t until Randy was nearly 50 that he discovered his own penchant for art. His first experience with art education was taking a 6-week course with sculptor Wren Prather-Stroud.
He also attended a week-long course with Tuck Langland at the Scottsdale Artists' School. After working successfully in clays, artificial stone, and bronzes, Randy discovered wire mesh, which soon became his medium. He began creating intriguing and magical sculptures in wire mesh and has developed all of the techniques that he uses in making his “Shadow Sculptures” on his own. These are forms created in wire screen that cast lovely shadows on the wall when lit with a light source. Indeed, sometimes the shadows seem to show more detail than the original sculpture and instill a feeling of magic into the creation. These “Shadow Sculptures” have been sweeping the United States and the world for the past few years, highlighting many private collections throughout the world, and Randy Cooper has become a major force among America's contemporary artists.Randy works as a full-time sculptor and lives in New Mexico with his wife, Susan, a former environmental engineer who is now a writer and an artist who has worked primarily in pastels, oils, and acrylics. Last week we talked about empowering HR and the hiring process, and this week we’re going to talk about empowering your world of work wherever you work.
Because we can work from anywhere today. Some of us anyway. While there are no definitive statistics, last year a CBS News poll revealed that 24% of workers telecommuted regularly for their jobs. (How many in their pajamas you ask? Probably more than you think.)
Could be more, could be less, but the reality is that many more full-time, part-time and contract workers are not only working from home, they’re successfully working from anywhere.
Whatever the remote mix, how to do it right, what to consider before you make the “workshift,” and what technologies you’ll need to perform better, all need to be addressed.
Today’s realities include: what it takes to run a meeting from a coffee shop, managing a Skype call from 35,000 feet aboard an airplane, and juggling the demands of a domestic situation while you’re working at home all day.
Join TalentCulture #TChat Show co-creators and co-hosts Meghan M. Biro and Kevin W. Grossman as we learn more about how to successfully work from anywhere with this week’s guest: Simon Salt, six-year workshifting veteran, photographer, writer, speaker and author of Out of Office.
