SORT BY Relevancy
That Martin O’Malley machine: You gotta give it to them! I mean, the man is masterful when it comes to politics. Just take a look at the packaging of Anthony Brown: Pure brilliance!
The goal, no doubt, is to paint Anthony Brown as relevant as ever to blacks but without being too specific. You want to send a signal without ruffling any feathers – build empathy and show concern without being perceived as too close to the fire.
It’s all about the visuals, baby! Forget about the facts. Experts know that politics is all about defining one’s opponent before one’s opponent does the same to you: Smoke and mirrors! And right now, one could conclude that this playbook is calling all the right plays for a Brown victory in the Maryland Democratic Primary on June 24, 2014.
Let the TV commercials do the talking and one essentially walks away with the impression that Anthony Brown is cool with black kids and ultimately their parents, the voters. You’re left with the notion that Brown even adopts black kids. So sure, he must love them, too. Right?
Honestly, I’m not too sure about this.
WHAT IS THE EMINENT SIGN OF CHRIST RETURN? WHAT IS THE ONE DEFINITIVE EVENT THAT SIGNIFIES THE RETURN OF CHRIST IS AT HAND? THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION IS GIVEN IN THE BIBLE BY JESUS BUT IS OVERLOOKED BY INSTITUTIONAL CHRISTIANITY;SIMPLY BECAUSE, INSTITUTIONAL CHRISTIANITY IITSELF, IS A MANIFESTATION OR "SIGN", THAT CHRIST WILL SOON RETURN. JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES ,ONE OF THE SIGN'S OF HIS EMINENT RETURN WOULD INVOLVE DECEPTION; AND WARNED HIS DISCIPLES NOT TO BE DECEIVED. JESUS STATED THAT MEN WOULD COME IN HIS NAME BUT WERE WOLFS IN SHEEPS CLOTHES. TODAY WE ARE SURROUNDED BY WOLFS SPOKEN OF BY JESUS--BUT UNAWARE OF THEIR SATANIC NATURE-- BECAUSE THEY HOLD THEMSELVES OUT TO BE CHRISTIANS. LISTEN AND LEARN WHO THESE WOLFS ARE. THEIR PRESENCE IS THE ONE DEFINITIVE SIGN THAT SIGNIFIES THE RETURN OF CHRIST IS EMINENT.

LANDSCAPE WITH MOVING FIGURES FOR BALLET DEVOTESS, BY LAURA JACOBS.
DANCE became Laura's life, her longing. From ballet classes in Chicago to the Rozak Academy to writing dance reviews for a Chicago Paper gave birth to her embracing the idea of being a dance critic.
Dance critics everywhere agree that ballet is the most unforgiving of the ARTS. From the very youngest age an aspiring dancer's body is scrutinized and judged: too tall, too short, too fat, legs not long enough and that's just the start. And then there's the matter of race. Would a black dancer alter the uniformity of a line of white swans in "Swan Lake" and other classics?
A ballerina's unique story...etc.
Can an African-American survive in...etc.
At the age of thirteen...etc.
Dance Theatre of Harlem...etc.
Michael Vick being the targert of a new petition requesting a ban of his participation in the Jets' training camp is another blatant attack on African-Americans' right to exist as people in our country. The message that African-Americans must be punished severely for any degree of an offense while their Caucasian counterparts are entitled to be rehabilitated is clear in the massive murder-by-numbers game played by law enforcement officials, judicial injustice, and blatant emasculation orr elimination of our assigned village leaders--the Black men.
Imprisonment, police brutality, discriminatory disciplinary actions and other things have all been implemented for one purpose...to remove our Black men from their natural born roles as Leaders of their community. With all of the outside forces already coming at African-American men in masses, has the birth of the new "independent woman" now added to the emascualting of our Black men...reducing their roles to slot-fillers in sex or sperm donors in the relationship?
Please join Professor Griff & ZaZa Ali, as we deal with the term / terminology / word / existence of Blackness. Let's talk about Melanin, Carbon, Race & Nationality. Should we identify with a land mass or with the divine self? Or both? What is Black Matter & how does that relate to God, the micro & macro womb, & the current condition of our people? Why is the term BLACK controversial? Show starts at 8pm EST / 5pm PST. Call in # is 347-633-9644. Peace.
How many times have you been to a black owned business and either was displeased with the service or a lack thereof? How many times have you went to yelp or the white pages and took the time to right a good review of a black owned business? If you can count on one hand then that's a reality check. Is it the fault of our own or the business owner that we didn't have a pleasant experience at their business? Did that one bad experience turn us off to any future dealings with black establishments? Do we think that other races, white, chinese, jews, have a better quality service or product? It is something to think about. Maintaining or starting a business is a challenge in itself but when you add the race card on top of that, it then becomes a double challenge. We then, just like everything else, have to work extra hard to avoid or put an end to that stigma that black business just don't offer the same quality service as their competitors. Hopefully this show will shed light on how we can make the black business support / experience much more enjoyable. Other races have support from their races, how great would it be to get that same love and support for our own. Call in at (347) 855-8637 to share an experience as a patron, business owner or share a positive review with a black business that you just recently visited. Let's start a riot!
