Tune in and join me as I welcome this week's guest.
Author H. Alan Day joins me on the Indie Books Show this week to talk about The Horse Lover: A Cowboy's Quest to Save the Wild Mustangs. We may even get a chance to hear a bit about the book he co-authored with his sister Sandra Day O'connor back in 2002. That book was Lazy B: Growing Up On a Cattle Ranch in the American Southwest
The Horse Lover is Alan's personal history of starting the first government-sponsored wild horse sanctuary, which was located on 35,000 acres in the Sand Hills of South Dakota. After successfully lobbying Congress to approve the idea, Alan received 1500 wild horses in 1989 from the Bureau of Land Management. His deep connection with the animals in his care is clear from the outset, as is his maverick philosophy of horse-whispering, which he used to train the entire herd. The memoir reveals the Heculean task of balancing the requirements of the government with the needs of the wild horses. He story also weaves in cowboying adventures that Alan had on some of his best horses and the lessons of perseverance, steadfastness, and hope he learned from these four-legged friends. Booklist is calling the memoir “an instant classic.” The story also is relevant to today’s wild horse issues that are costing the BLM $70 million per year. Washington is home to government-owned wild mustangs.
Tune in Friday at 11AM EST or listen to the archive.

The Horse Lover: A Cowboy's Quest to Save the Wild Mustangs
Hardcover – March 1, 2014
by H. Alan Day (Author), Lynn Wiese Sneyd (Author), Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (Foreword)
“A great American story, and an inspiring tale of vision, courage, and hard-won wisdom. It’s told with humor and grace and without pretension. And every reader is sure to find a horse to fall in love with in these pages.”—Larry Watson, author of Montana 1948
“A definite read for all those who love horses. Day and Sneyd’s book is sure to become an instant wild-horse classic in the spirit of J. Frank Dobie.”—J. Edward de Steiguer, author of Wild Horses of the West
“The Horse Lover is a very good illustration of the real western part of our nation. Day, a successful rancher and businessman, is honest and forthright in dealings with neighbors, employees, business associates, and especially the federal government. I recommend this reading.”—Dennis DeConcini, former U.S. senator from Arizona
“It is impossible to see a herd of wild horses running free without feeling a surge of excitement and enthusiasm for their vigor, power, and beauty. To watch them run with their manes and tails flying in the wind is to experience a sense of the ultimate freedom of motion.”—From the foreword by Sandra Day O’Connor, former U.S. Supreme Court justice
"Day's poignant personal journey is one of both heartache and hope, a mirror of not just one man's desire to save a great American icon of freedom, the wild mustang, but a nation's."—Stuart Rosebrook, True West

I just popped on an article on msm, from Popular Science about how we will die on Mars one day!
It is a very dramatic title, and rather lengthy, but I will take a shot at it and share the article and also what I may think about it.
What do you think of Living on Mars or the Ideas of it by 2020?
Well maybe if we would stop fucking with the environment here, on earth we would not need new horizons all the time to go to after all the damage on Planet Earth!
1st Hour: Artistic Sounds
2nd Hour: This is Imam Beyah's second show. He will go into detail on Wealth Creation. We will share a very common sense definition of Wealth. For those of you who will tune in, please refer to Suratal An-Najm 53:38-48. This show will also discuss what are some of the main impediments that keeps us from establishing Wealth.
3rd Hour: A NEW DAY FOR AL ISLAM IN AMERICA with Imam Yusuf Ramadan
On tonight's Wisdom Wednesday show the Queens will be discussing how memorial day came to be & how amerikkka ONCE again lied about their memorial day… Majority of you all know that what they call “memorial day” actually was started in Charleston, South Carolina in 1865 BY BLACK PEOPLE and our ancestors referred to that day as Black Decoration Day. The reason being because our men had fought in the civil war and when they died had NO proper burial or recognition. Amerikka will tell you it was actually founded in New York in 1868 by the grand army of the republic… but we all know thats a ball full of lies…
Tune into the show tonight as we educate you all on DECORATION DAY.
