It's almost Thanksgiving and tonight we will thank the Pilgrims for starting this important football-watching holiday, well, something like that...

The Title of Today's Show is They always Remember November. Why that title? Because November sets the stage for the end of the year and it is the month that that the true contenders for championships in any level of football start to rise to the top. November is also the month that we give thanks for all the events of the year. November is the eleventh month and it also serves as the segway into the Holiday season. And basketball season is also heating up and pro football is really hitting its stride. So lets begin to Remember November.
Birmingham, Alabama - the Magic City - saw events and courageous people who played a central role in the Civil Rights struggle. World Footprints goes on a walking tour through history along the Civil Rights Heritage Trail as we step onto the grounds where African Americans confronted Jim Crow era voilence with non-voilent civil disobedience. We will also explore Kelly Ingram Park and Birmingham's 4th Avenue Business District and discuss the time when segregation made this the city's "Little Harlem".
Brimingham is also known for it's rich musicial traditions and we'll pay homage to two iconic musical figures: Henry "Gip" Gipson whose 'juke joint' is the last standing music venue of it's kind in Alabama. Gip's Place has welcomed musicians from all over the world and every Saturday music lovers travel miles for an all-night music tailgate party on a "Sanford and Son" style lot. We will also introduce Dr. Frank Adams, Sr., a charter member of the Alabama Hall of Fame, who regaled us with stories of his life, a musical set and his time playing with greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Duke Ellington. Sadly, Doc Adams passed away only one month after our meeting with him. We are honored to showcase his music throughout today's show.
As a side note, our trip to Birmingham was a very pleasant surprise. We highly recommend a visit to Birmingham, Alabama. There's a lot waiting for visitors to discover in the city "where freedom lives".

On tonight's episode Yara will be talking to Chuninchi, author of A Gangsta's Girl!
Since the release of her 2004 debut novel A Gangster’s Girl, bestselling author Chunichi has gone on to pen several additional bestselling novels. With more than a half of a million books in print, Chunichi’s talent as a writer, combined with her consistent and successful track record speaks for itself. In addition to her hard work and relentless drive, Chunichi’s rise to the top of the literary world can easily be attributed to the fact that she has lived through the same fast lifestyle of sex, money, drugs, cars, and designer clothes, that she writes about in her books. The former quiet southern girl from Alabama had her life transformed when she moved to Virginia Beach in her teens. Dubbed the Urban Diva of literature because of her striking beauty, Chunichi’s stunning looks and Scorpio sex appeal was evident since her teenage years. She instantly became a magnet for attracting ballers who elevated her social status while introducing her to an intoxicating high-end lifestyle. That lifestyle transformed the sexy seductress into a gun toting Bonnie who was trained to fire for her Clyde. Chunichi’s fast pace lifestyle soon began to mimic that of a vixen as she spent countless nights in some of the top clubs in the country as well as countless days being the spoiled female darling of several top pro athletes and entertainers. Consequently as Chunichi matured, she decided to make a change in the way she was living. Never forgetting her past but making sure to leave the fast life behind, Chunichi went on to pursue and attain her bachelor’s degree in nursing, while simultaneously putting her real life experiences on paper.
Join us this Sunday at 4pm as we talk with the Executive Director of Empower Alabama, Bradley Davidson. We have been so thankfull for this grassroots movement and the important work they do. The mission of Empower Alabama is one that every freedom loving American should support. They are not fighting for a political party they are fighting for democracy. We will also have all of the news you can use, and the most important thing- You.
While George "the Howitzer" Gerbo always tries to see the good in things and be optimistic, Mike "the Buzz-saw" Asti keeps it real! Most don't like the brutal truth. Well if you don't want honesty, don't listen to the Howitzer & Buzz-saw Show!
The Robert Griffin III love affair is over. Another week, another lack luster performance and soundbite drama from RGIII. Have even his most loyal supporters (cough, George), jumped ship? Not just the fans, but have the Redskins decided they need a new future at quarterback? What is the future of RGIII and the Redskins, both together, or apart? There's been a regression on the field, while at the same time, there's been a steady increase of immaturity and asininity from Robert Griffin III.
From perhaps the most asinine franchise of the year (again), to a more stable organization competition wise, but one that is no stranger to controversy. The Pittsburgh Steelers released LeGarrette Blount. An offseason encounter with the law and walking out on his team prior to a game became too much. Days later Blount was signed by the team he powered to the playoffs a season ago, the New England Patriots. Was bouncing Blount the right decision for Pittsburgh? How will his second Patriots tenure go?
College football chaos never takes a week off. Did the committee get the current playoff bracket right? Now with a loss, what can Mississippi State do to remain in the top four? How comfortable should Alabama be? Could Ohio State quietly sneak in?
They bring you a heavy dose of reality. They are the Howitzer and Buzz-saw. They conquer sports radio, one day, at a time....
This week: We preview a big rivalry showdown between UCLA and USC, with a chance to take charge of the Pac 12 South Division. Will Brett Hundley, Ishmael Adams, and Myles Jack continue their dominance over USC with Cody Kessler, Sua Cravens, Nelson Agholor, Leonard Williams, Buck Allen, and Juju Smith? Also on the show we turn to the "Kids Club" for their Week 12 picks in a most competitive season. We'll also look at the College Football Playoff rankings and see whether Alabama at #1 is now the team to beat, or whether Mississippi State can hang onto their 4th ranking and make the playoff. In Hour 1, to start our show, we have Kevin on the Cape scheduled to join us for "Random Questions" where this week, Kevin asks Dave "How 'LA' are you?"
