WASHINGTON, May 27, 2015 – The horrific violence and mass looting that ravished Ferguson, MO., and Baltimore, MD., did not occur in Cleveland, OH, despite Cleveland Police Officer Michael Brelo being found not guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the November 2012 shooting deaths of Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams. The two were killed by a barrage of 137 shots fired by police into their car,
Local NAACP leaders were among many black leaders who vigorously disagreed with the judge’s verdict but joined city officials Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams and Mayor Frank Jackson in requesting peaceful protest.
As an apparent result of combined community and city cooperation, only 71 people were arrested during demonstrations on Saturday.
But, the calmness in the city may be the quiet before the storm, since Al Sharpton has accepted a request to appear in Cleveland this week to address the judge’s decision. Can the city, state or nation expect Ferguson or Baltimore level violence following Sharpton’s Cleveland appearance? This is the question that will be addressed on Standing at Freedom’s Gate with host Kevin Fobbs and nationally syndicated radio host Kenneth McClenton.
McClenton who hosts the Exceptional Conservative Show, formerly served as Policy Analyst for the DC Financial Authority and Ombudsman for the Federal Voting Assistance Program.

Byron went in Madman style -and slut shamed Sharpton - but is his beef with Sharpton fair? Is Sharpton the "least expensive negro" and a "pawn" or is he just playing according to the rules of corporate America, while getting his paper and keeping the dialogue about race open?

How do you explain what is going on in this country when it comes to the issue we call "Racism"? How do we overcome the hatred, confussion, distrust, lies and exagerations that come into play whever the topic is addressed? Why do some people who "preach" unity, civil rights for all, a bonding of the American people at the same time encourages protests, riots, civil disobedience and unlawful violent actions?

National Review: Since Politics Nation debuted on MSNBC on August 29, 2011, Al Sharpton’s nonprofit National Action Network has collected more than $2.38 million in contributions from unions, according to Department of Labor records. Meanwhile, Sharpton has often used his show to promote pro-labor viewpoints, also inviting union leadership on as guests.
Sharpton has swapped donations to National Action Network for air time before, though it’s unclear whether such arrangements apply to his MSNBC show. Sharpton has swapped donations to National Action Network for air time before, though it’s unclear whether such arrangements apply to his MSNBC show.

Joining us for tonight's discussion will be noted journalist and blogger Yvette Carnell of http://www.breaking brown.com and of http://www.yourblackworld.com
