Omar is a New York Times best-selling author, journalist, lecturer, poet, screenwriter, songwriter, playwrite, host, blogger, publishing consultant and literacy advocate, who has won a 2001 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Literature in Fiction, a 2006 Phillis Wheatley Literary Award for Body of Work in Urban Fiction, a 2008 Citation from the City Council of Philadelphia for the African-American Children's Book Fair, and a 2010 HBCU Legends Award for his tiresome work in urban literacy.
Along with dozens of literacy awards from various national organizations, Tyree has founded and formed his own nonprofit arm of the Urban Literacy Project (ULP), where he highlights “The 5 Key Components of Literacy” (Reading, Writing, Thinking, Visualization and Application). He published 12 Brown Boys for young urban readers in September of 2008 and continues his tireless community work in urban literacy.
Most recently, Omar Tyree's urban classic Flyy Girl trilogy novel series was optioned for a feature film production by Code Black and Lions Gate Films, starring Love & Basketball Sanaa Lathan. And on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, Tyree will launch his new publishing imprint OTI (Omar Tyree Incorporated) with the explosive release of his latest and most timely novel, All Access.

Leslie Zemeckis is an actress, writer and award-winning documentarian. She co-wrote Staar a one-woman cabaret show which was the origin for the mockumentary she wrote and produced entitled Staar: She’d Rather be a Mistress, starring Carrie Fisher, Jeffrey Tambor and Fabio. She also wrote, produced and directed the critically acclaimed documentary Behind the Burly Q, the true story of old-time burlesque in America. The film aired on Showtime and was championed by such publications as USA Today and The New Yorker revealing the never-before told stories of the men and women who worked in burlesque during its Golden Age. Her latest film as writer/producer/director is the award-winning documentary Bound by Flesh, which chronicles an important part of American entertainment from a bygone era, delving into the world of circus and carnival life in the early part of the 20th Century. Her book Behind the Burly Q, published by Skyhorse in June 2013, is the definitive oral history of burlesque as told by the original stars themselves. Her current book, Goddess of Love Incarnate: The Life of Stripteuse Lili St. Cyr, is published by Counterpoint Press. Zemeckis is currently wrapping up her next documentary on the world's first female tiger trainer, Mabel Stark.

Her article “The Power of Caring for others” on domestic violence and Complicit at First …A Mammographers Story was published in the Richmond Times Dispatch weekly features, “In Her Shoes” and “Life” sections. Michele is a member of The James River Writers. She is often requested to lecture on topics ranging from Women’s Health issues to the Craft of Writing.
Michele has infused this same enthusiasm and expertise into her debut memoir, Invisible Warrior, an inspiring narrative that lays bare the struggles of her youth, and invites us to join in her triumphs despite discouraging statistical odds.

Author of "The Other Side of Addiction: From Terrified to Triumphant," LaKita Gordon was born and raised in Washington, DC. She has been writing since the age of 7. She knew at an early age that she wanted to write, but was afraid. She enjoys writing songs, poetry, and has a passion to share her story with the world. She was always interested in inspiring others to reach their full potential. LaKita was afraid to write her story because she came from a family that believed in keeping their business inside of the walls of their home. LaKita has written poetry, which was submitted to the National Poetry Society, she has assisted in writing school plays, yearbook committee entries in High School, and hopes to write an inspirational column for newspapers. Her book was published in February 2014 and was written with the purpose of being the voice of those who were abused, neglected, felt alone and in fear, although she was never an addict. She enjoys creative writing and was always told by numerous professor's, teacher's, friend's and family members that she has "a way with words," and can take a sentence and turn it into a paragraph. LaKita has a passion for words and for how they are used, and desires to write and publish numerous inspirational and self-help books.

He began his formal education in music at Landon Middle School for the Performing Arts, later Lavilla Middle School of the Arts. He attended high school at the prestigious Douglas Anderson School For the Performing Arts and went on to attend the Florida State School of Music major in Jazz Studies. Larry has sense played over seas numerous times, visiting the countries of Spain, France, Ireland, the UK, and the Bahamas. He has also worked with many notable musicians and artist, some of which include Kirk Franklin, Vashawn Mitchell, Stephen Hurd,Tasha Cobbs, Alexis Speight; and has shared stages with notable jazz musicians like Wynton Marsalis, Marcus Roberts, Scotty Barnhart, and many more! He is the COO and Co-Founder of "The Cloud Music LLC" and the founder and chief producer of TruthMusicProductions (formerly StimulusMusic). Larry also serves as the Minister of Music and Fine Arts at the St. Paul Church of Jacksonville under Bishop Designate John E. Guns and is the Musical Director for Gospel artist Lawrence Flowers and Intercession as well as Travis Malloy. Larry is married to wife (Christine Wilson) and has a daughter (Chrissa).

Lourdes has made a notable impression as a versatile actress. This statuesque Emmy nominated beauty starred in the CBS’ hit series Without A Trace, by playing Anna Rodriguez. She was the host on the TV show series "The Movie Time Showcase" on The Omni Broadcasting Network. She also appeared on The District, the TV series The Women of Brewster Place, and films like The Kiss, Blood Oranges, Time Served, A Fine Line, The Killer Within, Expandable, and Amor Brujo. She was a remarkable working actress until she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which led her through her battle with cancer. Being holistic herself, she wanted to try a unconventional method of fighting cancer that didn’t require radiation or chemotherapy, so she created a her own unique option called “Option C.” She and her husband documented her whole emotional process and called it Create Option c: My Journey Through Cancer. Through donations, she was able to afford an holistic center that helps cancer patients battle this horrendous disease through natural medicine, however her journey was far from easy.
Lourdes felt that the current system for treating cancer was flawed and too harsh on the human body that it does more harm than good. After watching the people she cared most about in her life disintegrate before her eyes, she became an advocate for her option, because she survived cancer by implementing her own process. With the help of Esai Morales, Lourdes is able to spread her news globally through her documentary.

Growing up working his my family’s renowned Kansas City BBQ restaurant, Chef Kevin Winton II has always felt most at home in the kitchen. It is a true honor for him to be invited into the homes of people like Brendan Haywood of the Cleveland Cavaliers and former NBA player and current Phoenix Suns Assistant Coach, Earl Watson, to cook for them.
