    Clarksvillan Roller Girls

    in Radio

What is flat track roller derby?

Flat track roller derby is a fast-paced contact team sport that requires speed, strategy, and athleticism. The flat track version of the sport evolved in 2001, and has quickly grown to encompass more than 400 leagues worldwide. This is in large part due to the ease of setting up a flat track--it can be done on any flat surface that is suitable for skating, such as skating rinks, basketball courts, parking lots, and even airplane hangars. This greatly reduces the capital needed to start up a roller derby league, and allows small groups of people to get a fledgling league off the ground. The DIY spirit that drives the sport allows roller derby leagues to create their own unique identities and adapt their structures to reflect their local communities.Joining me will be Cupcake Chaos,Ferris Bruise. Her, Tyrannosaurus Lexxe.

The Race Trim MotorSports Hour #11

    in Sports

NASCAR’s BACK!!! . . . and, that means so is our Frat House Sports Radio Network’s Race Trim MotorSports Hour, and hosts Uncle Mark and Brandon have already got a lot of grease on their hands in the garage.

It seems through every step of the pre-event hype to Sunday’s Daytona 500, there has been some sort of controversy – (1) fights following the Unlimited; (2) wrecks in pole qualifying; (3) uncertainty followed by bickering at the Duals; and, (4) suspensions just before the race.

Kurt Busch has been indefinitely suspended following allegations of domestic abuse; Chevrolet has stepped away from his sponsorship; NASCAR has dropped all of his merchandise from their web site and from all vendors at Daytona International Speedway and had him escorted by police to his airplane out of town. The guys are debating “The Outlaw’s” situation. And want to hear from you, the fans!

Plus, beginning the season have the Toyota’s solved their engine problems and will this lead the way for Joe Gibbs Racing to dominate; and, who are some of the drivers that might make “The Chase” this year that didn’t in 2014.

“Sidekick” brings you his NASCAR Fantasy picks right from the track at Daytona, and “Frat House Mike” updates the NHRA Drag-Racing season.

As usual, they've got the coffee. You bring the donuts and bring enough for the guys parked right now over in the "Frat House Sports Garage" . . . oh, and be sure to give them a call at 347 - 826 - 9964!

Life's Issues with Having a Healthy Spirit

    in Health

Life's Issues with Lloyd Rosen with his guest Theresa Santmann & Judy Flickinger:

Theresa Santmann’s story begins in 1976 when her husband was diagnosed with ALS. With two young children and mounting bills, Santmann needed to make a drastic change. She found a four-apartment rental property in Babylon, New York and turned it into an adult home where her husband, Jack, became her first patient. Santmann returned to school for nursing and began a new career that changed the lives of everyone around her. Her resourcefulness led her to becoming first woman in New York State to obtain an FHA-backed loan to build a 160-bed nursing home, with only a woman's name on the application. She operated one of the most successful nursing homes on Long Island, invented and patented a unique walker, became an airplane pilot, and so much more.

Judy Flickinger was a hospice nurse for the last twelve years of her forty two-year professional life as a registered nurse. During this time she recognized that a healthy spirit (who we are as a person) could make the difference between a miserable death and a positive, meaningful end-of-life experience for both the patients and their loved ones. Judy wrote "Spirit Matters: How to Remain Fully Alive with a Life-Limiting Illness", published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises, to pass on what she learned. This information is vitally important to persons faced with a life-limiting illness and everyone else, as well. In 2010 Judy received Central Florida’s “Woman of Hope” award for her book and her work with hospice.

Incubi Incarnate Broadcast's Valentine's Day Special with Ben Hansen - 2/10/2015

    in Paranormal

Tonight on Incubi Incarnate Broadcast's Valentine's Day Special broadcast, your host Bill Bachman welcomes very special guest Ben Hansen.

Because his parents were so supportive, Ben developed an obsession for trying new things. These endeavors included becoming a licensed airplane pilot, amateur radio operator, licensed falconer, certified SCUBA diver, hang glider, Search and Rescue dog handler, and earning the Eagle Scout award in Boy Scouts. He graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelors degree in Sociology, certification in Criminology and Corrections, a Spanish minor, and a year of study abroad in Australia. After graduating college, he worked for several private and public agencies, including investigating child sex crimes and severe physical abuse on the Utah County Sex Crimes Task Force. His training and work later brought him to work in the position of Special Agent for the FBI. Ben also felt compelled to seize an opportunity presented to him to assist in forming a new investigative reality TV show. Departing from the mainstream paranormal shows prevalent at the time, this new show would not only conduct observation-based field investigations; it would focus primarily on alleged evidence already at hand. Ben and the show developers felt that after a methodical process of experimentation, whatever evidence remained unexplained... also became more compelling. From this concept was born the SyFy hit television show Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files. On Fact or Faked from the beginning, Ben led a team of five who traveled the world looking for answers to these mysteries. Ben also films aerial video and photography with remote control multi-rotor helicopters and teaches basic and advanced firearms courses as an instructor.  Ben also works as a Sr. Research Analyst for a non-profit disaster relief organization which is awaiting funding to fully launch.
