Join teacher and life coach; Michele Knowles as she brings you stories from the Bible 2015 style! Sometimes our littlest heart heroes need extraordinary help in order to survive. One of the most extraordinary machines used to save our babies born with congenital heart defects is known as ECMO which stands for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. This is a special machine that takes blood from the body, oxygenates it using an artificial lung, and pumps it back into the body using an artificial heart. ECMO is similar to a heart/lung bypass machine used in open heart surgery, but can be used for a longer time.
Twenty years ago, when my son was just a baby, all of the babies I knew who were put on ECMO passed away. But like with so many types of new technology, things have changes and improved over the year. Now being put on ECMO doesn't have to be a death sentence. Today's show will feature three mothers whose children have been put on ECMO and survived. Hear about their experiences and what they feel other parents need to know on today's show.
Scott Walker gives 2 examples of how his foreign policy will run: (1) Ronald Reagan's firing of the Air Traffic Controllers in 1982 & (2) Walker's moves to remove public unions' collective bargaining rights in Wisconsin. Wow! ---> This dude has some serious mojo!!!

"The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli returns. However, this is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing back to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" of sports at its best.
This week is a special epsiode of The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab, as at 10pm, he welcomes Kansas City Royals legend Willie Mays Aikens into the lab. Aikens was once one of the most feared hitters of the late 1970' and early 1980's with the Royals, helping lead Kansas City to the AL pennant in 1980. However, drugs overcame him, and he ended up in prison for almost 20 years. However, since his release in 2008, Aikens has has spoken at schools about his experiences and to the Royals’ young players, always hoping to return to baseball. In November 2008, apologized to Royals fans and the people of Kansas City in the Kansas City Star. In 2011, he returned to the Royals Family in the organization, and has since wrote a book about his rise, fall and rebirth "Safe At Home". As an extra added attraction, JP Muzio, former host of The Sports Ministry and Off The Wall, will be joining me on the interview.
Also appearing this week - 1030pm, Andrew Garda of NJ.com and Bleacher Report to talk some New Jersey college sports (Rutgers, Seton Hall and more); 11pm, Derek Helling of Outside Pitch MLB returns to preview the American League West; 1130pm, Matt Zemek of The Student Section to talk some NCAA Basketball and a Preview to March Madness.
The beacons are lit, the experiments are set, and "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab" is open for study!!!
You think the hard part is done? No, sorry. Promotion is the difficult part of being an author. Learn to promote to be successful all the way around. It's shame to spend so much time writing a book and no one knows about it.
"Johnny Strozier Keeping It Real" is live and on air right now and every Saturday at 9pm EST. Dave Koch would say that Johnny "re-invented himself." Johnny Strozier is keeping it real on "Human Rights Demand" channel. Call-in number (347)857-3293. Strozier was a Georgia inmate for 46 years, from the age of 10 in 1968 until 2013. He kept doing things that lengthened his sentence until he said he had a conversion experience while behind bars. Now he encourages released inmates and youths to think right and act right so that things for them will go right.
Please gather your teens and let them be "scared straight." Call people who are reentering society, also, and tell them they should hear Johnny Strozier keeping it real! Despite ten years in solitary confinement and other cruelty that Johnny experienced, he is not bitter but interested in helping others to avoid his fate.
