Jo Dodds is Social Media and HR Consultant with Engage for Success and which includes co-hosting with Jo Moffatt their radio show Engage for Success. Disclaimer: I was guest on their show. We had an excellent conversation about our shared passion: engaged employees.
Engage4Success, I’m quoting their site, is a voluntary movement committed to the belief that employee engagement is a better way to work. Over 1000 individuals from hundreds of organisations have contributed over £1million in time, expertise and resources, helping to bring the aims of our movement to life.
While their efforts are focused on the UK, with social media and their devotion we can share and learn and maybe give back a bit. That’s what I hope to be doing here, sharing their expertise with this audience.
Their site is chock-full of well-written, well-researched, articles and papers and profiles of their initiatives and case-studies on companies and their successes, or not, with raising employee engagement. We’ll talk with Jo about how she curates all this goodness and then shares it in a way that reflects their movement principles. And we’ll talk with her about some of the best initiatives from Engage for Success, what’s different, better or worse, with the two markets, UK and US, with regards to employee engagement and what trends she sees developing now.
Special Guest: Simon Biltcliffe, CEO of Webmart
Simon won Director of the Year at the IoD Awards in 2010. His organisation's website says, "Every day, I strive to make Webmart the world's best print services agency. I am an odd, restless, impatient, malcontent soul in work – there are always better ways to do things! Knowing what they are is the easy bit; getting them done is less easy, but we improve every day, which makes us happy. That and people development. These are the be all and end all of any business. Technology makes the experience people have extensible and scalable."
Join us as Simon talks about how Marxism complements Capitalism in the modern workplace and how that translates into his organisation and what they do.
And here's a link to the tour of their very yellow office!

Part 1 - Dr. Roberts Liardon, namesake of Oral Roberts, had a significant encounter with Jesus when he was taken to heaven at age 8. He's written a book about it, "I Saw Heaven" that has sold over 1.5 million copies. During his second encounter with Jesus at age 12-1/2, he received a commission to study the lives of God's Generals and know why they succeeded and why some failed. Liardon studied, interviewed people that knew them and chronicled their lives in this work of love. Four of God's Generals you will meet include: William Seymour, Father of the Azuza Street Revival, Smith Wigglesworth, the plumber who raised the dead, Maria Woodworth-Etter, Mother of Pentecost that could shake cities and Kathryn Kuhlman, beloved evangelist whose miracle meetings drew millions.
Jesus told him that there will come a generation that will need to know why the Generals succeeded and why some failed. The God's Generals series allows us to to learn from these great heros of faith and to discover spiritual treasures. Roberts has a heart to mentor a new generation of leaders that will change history for the coming revival.
