Tonight we are joined by Robert Cunningham, photographer who has chronicled our US troops serving in Afghanistan, from the moment of their deployment to the battlefield to their heartfelt return.
Cunningham has photographed the five living US presidents, nine heads of state, 12 prime ministers, numerous astronauts, celebrities, and Fortune 500 CEOs. But his proudest moment in a ten-year photography career came when he photographed US troops serving in Afghanistan. He took 55,000 photos and had a selection of the best published in Afghanistan: On the Bounce.

The Chicago Cubs announced yesterday that they sent 3 of their young prospects to the minors. Team President Theo Epstein explained his reasons for doing so, but assured media and fans that all 3 players will have big roles for the Cubs moving forward. We're down to four teams in the NCAA Tournament, and three #1 seeds have made it through. Tonight I'll give my preview of one of the two matchups: Kentucky vs. Wisconsin in a rematch of last year's semifinal round. The Blackhawks got much needed wins on back to back nights against two Western Conference contenders, and things are getting very tight in the standings with 6 games left in the regular season. The Bulls, meanwhile, had a solid wire-to-wire victory over the lowly New York Knicks on Saturday, and have won 5 of 6. With the team in solid form, Derrick Rose has rejoined the team in full-contact practices, though Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau is still not committing to a specific return date. Why is Religious Fanaticism Growing?
Why do people kill in the name of God? Paula Fouce knows firsthand how religion can be misused after being trapped in a religious riot and nearly losing her life.
Afterward, she began a quest to find solutions to this crisis of intolerance and fanatacism. She met Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama and many inspiring religious
leaders who all say the cycle of hatred can be broken. “Not in God’s Name” is her book, and film. It follows the Dalai Lama’s advice and puts his ideas into action as it tackles fundamentalism and religious intolerance. Paula Fouce has worked in South Asia for many years, including Pakistan and Afghanistan. She’s produced five films on religion and tolerance that have aired on PBS.
Her latest project is “No Asylum: The Family of Anne Frank”, which includes newly discovered information about the Franks trying to emigrate to safety during the Holocaust.
