SEGMENT 2: IS IT REALLY NEEDED?
Affirmative action, is it fair for non minorities? Will it be around in another five years?

As Boston Police Captain Haseeb Hosein assumes leadership in Mattapan as the department’s first Muslim captain, he plans to have his officers walking not only the streets, but school hallways. “I want my guys to go into the schools and spend 30 minutes and read” with a child, said Hosein, 52.
(Yeah, who cares about rooting out the next Muslim terrorist attack like the Boston bombers when you can spend your time reading (Islamic propaganda) to little Christian children?)

On today's episode of Mixed Race Radio we will discuss the new Comedy Central sketch television series, Key & Peele which touts itself as a Biracial Comedy show.
Also, we will discuss the fact that the Supreme Court has agreed to hear Fisher v. Texas, a major case involving affirmative action in higher education. The decision in this case could end racial preferences in admissions — moving up the timetable from the justices’ 2003 ruling in Grutter v. Bollinger, which said, “The court expects that 25 years from now, the use of racial preferences will no longer be necessary.”
Is it time for colleges and universities to move past race? How can we tell when race-based preferences are no longer necessary?
