This week I attended several live music concerts in SL from Ceci Dover@, James Olmos@LC Live & Nashville Row, Collin Martin@LC Live, SaraMarie Philly@The Grey Owl, Tukso Okey@Metro Paris to Mapoo Little@Wonderful Dreams. The big event of the weekend is One Billion Rising in Second Life. Its annual global event is taking place on Sunday, February 14. Check out OBR's site for schedule of events. Blue Myanamotu, a recent Talk with Marie guest, is one of the featured SL artists.

    About OBR

ONE BILLION RISING began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women on the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, this adds up to more than ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. ONE BILLION RISING: REVOLUTION calls for a radical shift to end the global epidemic of abuse that women face worldwide.

    GOD'S GIFT #LesaBelle #GospelMusic 323.927.2913

    in Music

    osted By: Lesa Marie Belle

As we go about our everyday lives, we encounter highs, lows, joy, sadness and various emotions as the world has a tendency to beat us up and bring us joy all at the same time.  Some of us will take the good with the bad & keep it moving. We get home and if we're lucky we have someone to vent to and discuss our hectic day with. So many of us are going through trials and tribulations, health issues, financial troubles, living from paycheck to paycheck, or with no check.   We' re faced with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, anger, and all too often we aren't able to easily shake it off or to talk about it with someone. We keep issues bottled up, maybe because we don't feel comfortable with sharing with others or we fear judgment for the issues we have or the things we're going through. Do you find yourself looking to the heavens and asking "Why me God?"  We've all been there and we all need to be restored! We're seeking answers and questioning "What is going on?"  Mind, body, soul & spirit need restoration.  Lord, please come by here and restore our minds, bodies, souls and spirits.

    Peace & Blessings,

    Lesa M. Belle

  • Testing Audio on Desktop for Solutions

    in Politics Conservative

So many audio issues, so I continue to try to figure out what the deal is and how I can be heard on The Right Voice. It's craziness, so I'm trying via my tablet hotspot.

I've tried other avenues, but it's still cutting up. I'm too through, so I must get it figured out. I wonder how successful it'll be by the time it's all said and done. I really wonder.

Folks will not tune in if they cannot understand what I'm saying. I wouldn't

St. Marguerite Bourgeoys - Without Walls

    in Religion

Rebroadcast of the long running radio program, "The Ave Maria Hour", a presentation of the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement. www.AtonementFriars.org

“God closes a door and then opens a window,” people sometimes say when dealing with their own disappointment or someone else’s. That was certainly true in Marguerite’s case. Children from European as well as Native American backgrounds in seventeenth-century Canada benefited from her great zeal and unshakable trust in God’s providence.

Marguerite at the age of 20 believed that she was called to religious life. Her applications to the Carmelites and Poor Clares were unsuccessful.

In 1654, the governor of the French settlement in Canada invited her to come to Canada and start a school in Ville-Marie.

Soon after starting a school, she realized her need for coworkers. Returning to Troyes, she recruited a friend, Catherine Crolo, and two other young women. In 1667 they added classes at their school for Indian children. A second trip to France three years later resulted in six more young women and a letter from King Louis XIV, authorizing the school.

Marguerite established a school for Indian girls in Montreal. At the age of 69, she walked from Montreal to Quebec in response to the bishop’s request to establish a community of her sisters in that city. By the time she died, she was referred to as the “Mother of the Colony.” Marguerite was canonized in 1982.
