Today we are thinking of our nation’s Thanksgiving holiday and Debi Dutton and Elissa Sungar, the mother-daughter co-founders of If Not You Who.org, give some tips on how to teach a child to be thankful. Children that are thankful have more positive attitudes toward school and family. They also feel more of a connection with friends, family and school. Being grateful makes people happier, improves health and reduces stress. How wonderful that Productive Play shares ways to instill the character trait of thankfulness into our little one’s lives.

Life experience and expertise coaching can reassure you “you are not alone” in this daunting journey! W e’ll also discuss some of the other degenerative brain disorders that may appear like Alzheimer’s but are either cross over diseases or are a completely different diagnosis. Such diseases may not even be diagnosed correctly during a patient’s lifetime.
We invite you to call in and share your tips, your stories, and your empathy for everyone involved.
We also invite you to listen to the first two parts of this program. You never know when something someone says will hit a cord and become your lifeline thought for that day.
So please join us as we try to shed some light on this ever increasing disease. As we talk about it more and more perhaps a hidden solution can be revealed.
What do you love to do that brings you hours of happiness? Do you have to be active or just watch as a spectator?
What makes you feel lousy emotions associated with stress? Why do you participate in that?
What do you want to do that will bring you hours of happiness, but, don't believe you are capable of doing? Le'ts look beyond disbelief and have a belief in self. Let's move beyond what the authorities in your life believe you are and become the Person You Were Meant to Be! Let's call that Neothink!
This month of November 2015, Nick & Joanna will be talking about Anger; first discussing the perspecive of Ayurveda on this intense and sometimes mysterious and dangerous emotion, and then on the 25th, as it relates to Domestic Violence and how hypnosis can be a helpful tool for addressing and manging it.
As with all things in Ayurveda, we go back to the doshas. Anger is primarily a Pitta emotion (Fire). The fire of Pitta, when out of balance can rage out of control and create havoc emotionally. And as Ayurveda views all symptoms, we ask the question, what is it telling us; about our physical, mental, emotional and even spiritual well-being?
Are there some people who are just prone to an anger response when under stress? Should anger always be judged as a bad thing? Is it ever justified? What can be done to manage anger from a Vedic perspective?
We will be talking about these things and more as well as providing some suggestions for keeping that internal fire burning brightly, but not out of control.
On the 25th, the focus will be on hypnotherapy as a tool to deal with anger as well as answer all of the questions above, from the perspecive of the hypnotherapist. We will also be focusing on domestic violence as a serious problem in our culture that must be addressed, and what we can do individually and collectively to be a part of the solution. It's more than just raising awareness.
