The City of Las Vegas has a wide range of amazing organizations committed to the welfare and well-being of animals lost, abandoned or otherwise seeking forever homes. Adopt-a-Rescue pet is one of them. These organizations work so hard and are always struggling to get the word out and raise money - and of course get animals adopted. For this reason it's particularly important that local folks and businesses support them. On today's episode, we'll talk with Marleen Szalay of Adopt-a-Rescue pet and Nick Fischella of Banger Brewery about a fun upcoming event designed to raise awareness and find some pups some homes. "Paws and Pints" will be taking place on May 18. Join us to learn more

Today's Show: GRACEbreak Host Tray Worley discusses the impact of continually being plugged in and the benefits of unplugging. Yes, unplug from television, music, phones, computers, etc. . . .
Unplugging creates synergy in our thought process to reflect on our daily routine of what is working (add more of), and what is not working (delete, adopt or adapt changes). If we are not unplugging daily and thinking into our daily life and results we are missing the 'boat' to true success in our personal and professional lives. Most importantly, unplugging creates better relationships with ourselves and those around us.
"We need self-control to finish a project, persevere through tedious or seemingly indecipherable bits of life, hold our temper, plan for tomorrow, and turn off the television to meet a baby's gaze. . . self-control blossoms into broader forms of focus and persistence called 'engagement' that fuel both academic achievement and depth of thought. . . . Without the powers of focus, awareness, and judgment that fuel self-control we cannot fend off distractions, set goals, manage a complex, changing environment, and ultimately shape the trajectory of our lives. “Maggie Jackson. (2009) Distracted. Prometheus Books, page 232-233.

After years of adopting rescue dogs, I've been inspired to paint them, along with other pets...oh, and people, too!
My earliest art-related memory occurred in the first grade when a concerned Sister Therese sent me home with a note for my parents—along with my “detailed depiction” of Adam and Eve without benefit of fig leaves. I wish I had saved that drawing.
I went on to major in Fine Arts in college and pursued a career in Graphic Design. Since 1993 I have served as co-owner and creative director of Design III. When our business went virtual a few years ago there was more time to spend painting and now my portraits, landscapes, and still life works hang in numerous private collections across the country.
I have found great satisfaction in capturing the true essence of my clients’ subjects in these unique portraits and I also support rescue groups across the country by donating portraits at fund raisers along with percentages of new commissions.

About Master Robyn Rice: When I met Master Sha, I realized what I had been missing in my healing practices was the focus on the soul. Master Sha’s teachings have empowered me to help so many experience miraculous results in an amazingly short period of time.
I have always had a very special connection with animals and love spending time with them. Even as a child i found animals to be fascinating to watch, observe and interact with. It is one of my deepest desire to care for animals.
Not only did Master Sha offer me the wisdom and techniques to help me empower others to heal themselves but he also offered me many special blessings so that I was able to offer Divine healing blessings to humanity and animals.
The longer I have studied with Dr and Master Zhi Gang Sha, the more wisdom and soul healing miracles I and my animals have experienced. I am forever grateful that Master Sha has not only saved my life but he has also saved May - my dog's life. He also prolonged my beautiful cat, Uma's life, she lived until 21.5 years of age and received many blessings along the way.
