Goddess Alive Radio - Dr. Jalaja Bonheim - The Sacred Ego & Full Moon Meditation

    in Spirituality

Goddess Alive Radio welcomes the inspirational Dr. Jalaja Bonheim, Author, Teacher, and Leader in Women's Circles, and Founder of CircleWork™ around the world. She is also an Instructor on Mystery School of the Goddess and is leading Invoking the Goddess of Wealth, beginning August 11.

Jalaja is joining us to discuss her groundbreaking new book, The Sacred Ego: Making Peace with Ourselves and Our World (Sacred Activism) and lead us in a Full Moon Meditation. The moon is full on July 31 at 643am in Aquarius and we will be taking advantage of this powerful energy of the Blue Super Moon!

Join us on Saturday, August 1 at 5pm eastern for the interview and guided meditation!

In The Sacred Ego, she tackles one of the core myths of popular spiritual culture—the myth of the ego, supposedly responsible for our greed, selfishness, and violence. In contrast, Jalaja approaches the ego as a sacred function worthy of honor and gratitude. Instead of struggling against it, she invites us to cultivate a new relationship with it based on respect and understanding. With riveting stories from her work, she guides us into the depths of our collective psyche to pinpoint the real sources of our problems and illuminate our path to wholeness. Connect further on JalajaBonheim.com.

Goddess Alive Radio is the weekly Blogtalk Radio show for the MotherHouse of the Goddess and is hosted by Kimberly F. Moore, Founder and Priestess of the MotherHouse of the Goddess. We focus on topics about Women’s Empowerment, Alternative Medicine, and Living Mythology – how the Goddess is moving through our lives today.

Suicide or Murder: The Sandra Bland Investigation

    in Current Events

On July 13, a young 28-year old woman was found hanging from a noose made from a plastic bag (allegedly) in her cell at the Waller County Jail in Texas, where she was incarcerated after allegedly assaulting an officer during a July 10 traffic stop.  Her death is being investigated as a murder, though authorities have said that she appeared to have hanged herself.

Who was this young woman, who was like so many young adults who have spoken openly of racial and police injustices?  … Her name is Sandra Bland.

Here we find ourselves again, addressing the loss of a life of another young black person under suspicious circumstances while in the custody of law enforcement, and Hot Topics Talk Radio will be addressing the inconsistencies in the accounts of the death of Sandra Bland.

    Hey gang.
The stories just weren't coming together for a white on white crime episode, so I decided to put the focus on a quesiton that was asked of me by one of the folks in the social networks.

    This is his quesiton.

To all the men on my news feed who are lightweight well versed in the feminisms like me, do you still sometimes get afraid or nervous when calling misogyny out in other men? I do. At least if it's someone I don't really know. Or I'm outnumbered in progressive opinions. Or if I do say something I get nervous and start to jumble my words and shit sounds really fragmented. And they usually don't end up listening anyway. Most times I get written off. But sometimes they do see the err. But they may say something else lightweight sexist that I'll let slide or address in a humorous manner because I'm afraid that they'll revert back to just being full on misogynists cause male ego and shit. All that to say, are any of my men friends afraid of men and/or addressing misogyny in men like me? I'd really love the feedback.

I'll be answering that and digging into some news and comment.

From there, I'll pass the microphone to Phoenix Calida and Lisa Loco.

    Maitreya Is An Alien!!!

    in Religion

In order to retake the Earth, Jesus set into motion a plan to genetically engineer the perfect warrior from his DNA. This warrior is called The Maitreya. The Maitreya's mission is to raise an army that will conquer the world, paving the way for the return of The Greys. The arrival of the Maitreya will wipe out all evil on Earth. Maitreya will “descend” and kill the Antichrist. Maitreya will likely descend from a spaceship. God, (the Alien Greys) are the Gods of the Bible and mythology. Maitreya will arrive on earth with aliens who will be landing on earth to help humanity through its period of spiritual ascension into Godhood. These aliens will really be divine.  Maitreya is a Jesus-like figure who has long blonde-hair, blue eyes, tall, dressed in a resplendent robe. He is in a shaft of sparkling light.

  • Dying with Dignity: Starting the Conversation to Close the Healthcare Gap

    in Health

What constitutes a ‘good death’? How and where are people dying? Are the needs of the dying being met? How can we advocate for a “good death”? Considering we are all going to die and lose loved ones at some point in time in our journey through life, these are all important questions to explore. Recently there has been an increased emphasis on the importance of addressing healthcare disparities in end of life care. This increased emphasis is mostly as a result of a bountiful of research on how dying patients are invisible in many acute healthcare settings in the United States and are victims of healthcare disparities. That is, certain groups receive lower quality of care than others. Worse than being a dying patient, is being a dying patient who is perceived by medical personnel as belonging to a different race, culture or ethnicity. These biases that lead to disparate treatment are often present at a subconscious level.

Dr. Font-Guzmán conducts qualitative research with a focus on the fields of healthcare disparities, law, and conflict engagement. Specifically, how people construct meaning at critical points in their lives about their identity (e.g., professional and community), reflective learning/practice, and end of life to explore the manners in which meaning-making leads them to productively engage with conflict. She also explores how marginalized individuals create alternate stories and counter-narratives to address institutional injustices.

    TODAY'S SPOTLIGHT:

WELLS FARGO HOME MORTGAGE (WFHM) AMERICA'S SERVICING COMPANY (ASC) REFUSAL TO PROCESS MHA HAMP REQUEST FOR MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE (RMA) MHA HAMP CFPB USDOTHELP

    "the daily complaint"

Every weekday we answer client complaints on The Daily Complaint to provide direction and resources for both the person complaining as well as other consumers experiencing similar issues whether it be mortgage fraud, loan servicing escrow issues, loan modification runarounds or denials, short sale refusals, deed in lieu negotiations and credit card debt collector abuses and fraud violations.

I routinely look for posts to answer in hopes that it will not only bring optimism to those homeowners and borrowers in distress but also some basic information to assist in fighting the banks that are "too big to fail" like Bank of America and Citi but yet don't appreciate the bailout that we provided in their time of need.  The debt collectors like Ocwen and Nationstar are simply just piranhas but they can be beat at their own game too just like the big banks can be defeated.

We are committed to answering consumer complaints and addressing everyday credit and debt issues on The Daily Complaint and I thank you for your continued support!

We hope you enjoy the Show...
