We use our GPS to navigate our outer landscape. We have learned to rely on our GPS to navigate our outer landscape. In fact we have become reliant on it, but how aware are we of our inner landscape?
Tune in to this episode of Adulthood to Soulhood to learn more about how to use your HPS as you navigate your way through what can sometimes seem like a life full of obstacles.
The Soul, Spirt, Ego & Heart make up your HPS (Human Positioning System) and if you are using all of them together they have a symbiotic (interdependent, cooperative, related, reciprocal) relationship, they work together. The Soul as observer, the Human Spirit as the motivator, the Ego as a present day adaptive function and the Human Heart as a compass. ~ Vecchio
We all have ups and downs because our brain is designed to work that way. Our happy brain chemicals are not meant to be on all the time. They evolved to reward survival behaviors by spurting when you see a way to meet a need. The spurt is soon over and you have to do more to get more. That drove your ancestors to do what it takes to keep their genes alive, over and over. Your ups and downs are easier to accept when you understand the brain you’ve inherited from your ancestors. You can turn on your happy chemicals in new ways when you understand the pathways that control them.
Join us as we interview Dr. Loretta Breuning to discuss her book and her ground breaking work on the Habits of a Happy Brain.

What is a virus, the origins of viruses are unclear, some may have envolved from plasmids-pieces of DNA that can move between cells- while others may have evolved from bacteria.
Virus consist of two or three parts; Gene, DNA and RNA
1. Gene- is a locus (or origin) of DNA that encodes a functional RNA or protein product, and is the mole cular unit of hereditary.
2. DNA (Dexoyribonucleic acid) is a molecule that carries most of the genetic instructions used in growth, development.functioning and reproduction of all living organisms and many viruses.
3. RNZ (Ribonule acid) is a polymeric molecule implicated in various biological roles in coding, decoding, regulation and expression of genes.
What would you do if you broke your back? How would you feel if the doctor told you, "you will never walk again."? What action would you take next?
These questions and more are answered in my next segment of Creating Life's New Normal as I interivew the amazing Alana Nichols.
Alana is a two-sport phenomenon in wheelchair basketball and alpine skiing. She grew up in Farmington, N.M., and was an avid snowboarder throughout her youth. In 2002, however, Nichols landed back-first on a rock while attempting a backflip on her snowboard. The injury caused her to be paralyzed from the waist down. Nichols didn’t let her athletic career stop there, though, as she began playing wheelchair basketball just two years later.
Her talent in the sport ultimately took her to the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, where she and Team USA earned gold. Shortly after the Beijing Games, Nichols moved to Colorado and picked up adaptive alpine skiing through the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Winter Park. At the Vancouver 2010 Winter Paralympic Games, Nichols earned two gold medals, one silver and one bronze in alpine skiing events, becoming the first female athlete in history to win gold medals in both the summer and winter Paralympic Games.

The Allah Team Radio presents: The History of the NOI Series
Min. Diógenes Muhammad
The Minister of the First "Latino" Mosque in the Nation of Islam and the United States of America
Bro. Diógenes was born and raised in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York City's Spanish Harlem "El Barrio" in 1961 at the age of 14.
In 1969, he accepted the teachings of the Most Hon. Elijah Muhammad and was one of the first "Latinos" to join Mosque No. 7 under NOI National Representative Minister Louis Farrakhan and Captain Yusef Shah.
Once establishing a small Spanish speaking squad, Bro. Diogenes (who became the Minister) Brother Skelse X (from Guatemala who became the Captain) and Hubert 5X (from Costa Rica who became the Secretary) leased a "Steak-N-Take" and from there rented a space to start "Mosque No. 7-J" in Spanish Harlem in 1972, the first Latin Mosque in the United States of America.
The Team attracted new Believers from Puerto Rican, Dominican, Colombian, Panamanian, Cuban, Costa Rican, Venezuelan and Ecuadorian descent and brought Islam to spanish people and neighborhoods in NYC.
In 1975, Bro. Diogenes became the NOI interpreter under Imam W.D. Mohammed, helping translate NOI materials into Spanish.
After the Rebuild of the NOI, Bro. Diogenes became the first National Latino Minister under the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan and re-established the 1st all-Latino Study Group after the Rebuild.
Join us as we discuss the rich history of Latinos (correctly referred to as the Indigenous or Aboriginal People) in Islam in America!

This is a follow-up to last week's episode.. We will be going over more common mistakes that we all make in the mating dance that is dating.
Callers are welcome to call in this episode 657-383-0751
You can ask Dr. Lisle a question about a personal issue or just call in to comment on something
If you've ever had a dating experience where you felt you coudn't control yourself or the eventual outcome, that was your genes compelling you to behave in a certain way. This is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you can be optimizing your genes surviving but on the other hand, it may be detrimental to long-term happiness.
We have evolved to enjoy the pursuit of love & sex through dating and relationships. In this episode we discuss how we can optimize happiness in this area by beating our genes.
