With a new look casting him as a mythical character burnished by starlight, Adam covered Bob Marley's "Is This Love" at the Take 40 Lounge in Sydney, Australia. We haven't heard much reggae from him before. Did you like it?
Tonight we'll talk about 'covers' - photos and songs. Adam has covered many genres and wonderful songs over his career; Upright Cafe, American Idol, AI Tour, Glamnation Tour, Queen+Adam Lambert and individual performances.
What are your favourites? Is there a song you would love to hear Adam sing?
Callers are encouraged!!!

We’re heading for the coveted $1,000,000.00 total for contributions to Adam’s charities and causes of choice! Adam has managed to inspire his fans to send cheques, open PayPal accounts, organize draws for prizes, fundraising events, birthday and other parties.
We suspect that not all of the contributions from Adam’s fans have been counted. We want to get to the headline “$1 million to Contributed, Thanks to Charity Cheerleader Adam Lambert”
What donations have you raised or contributed to charities upon a request Adam made? We’ll be joined by a couple of guests who have been deeply involved in such efforts.
In a recent post "Adam Lambert's Singular Videos" on the Salon, Thea writes about Adam's videos and posits a theory or two for the absence of a male romantic interest in them.
In Juneau's temporary absence, Xena will discuss some of the issues that arise from Thea's thoughts and opinions. We'll also bandy about a couple of ideas for solutions to satisfy Thea's needs and this is where it could get a little out of control so.....call-in or join the chat-room where the door is always open and the champagne chilled.
Join DJ Nika and Juneau to analyze, discuss and celebrate the Tour of the Summer of 2014: Queen + Adam Lambert. There is so much to cover, so we will tackle this monumental opus by spreading out our discussion over three consecutive programs, one each week. This week we will tackle the first third of the set list. Please post in comments below, call in during the show and join the chatroom to share your data points: Where were you seated? What was your view of the stage? How was the sound. What were you able to observe about Adam and Queen in those rare lucid moments when your mind wasn't lost in a hormonal haze? What did these performances reveal to you about Adam? About you?
Is this program a desperate ploy to stave of post-tour depression and tide us over until Queen + Adam hit the shores of Oceania? Yes, but so what? We will have fun doing it!

Unless you have been in a sensory deprivation tank for the past week, you know that Adam Lambert has been invited by Brian May and Roger Taylor to join them for a performance by Queen on July 7that Sonisphere! What an honour for Adam but who knew there would be controversy?!
We’ve had so many interviews to read, hear and watch, we’re dizzy from following Twitter feeds for news and how many performances of BTIKM have we heard now? Anyone counting? Any favourites?
So it’s Mapril now for Trespassing’s release but just this week, Adam explained the delay….again! We are patient, we won’t whine and complain or beg and bother, but our poor hanky is so twisted in knots, it will be permanently wrinkled like a Shar Pei puppy.
Daily we’re reading testimonials from Glamberts who just met Adam – some for the second or third time or even more! There should be a statute of limitations. Hugs given, photos taken, smiles all around and all of them shared! We’re a little worried about Xena – still nothing happening to get her any closer to meeting Adam and who knows what she’s capable of. Each time another fan gushes in a post, “he’s so gorgeous and sweet and smells so nice and he gave me a big hug, his eyes are so blue, but I was speechless” with the de rigueur photo, Xena takes a shot of cognac.
Xena also claims Adam is a logophile but we’re not so sure. She’ll have to explain herself.
Hope you’ve been following The Trilogy, Thea’s sensational serialized story on the Salon, with more to come! Thea will join us to chat about the characters, the plot and perhaps we can persuade her to do a reading!
Fans went slightly berserk earlier this week with the news that Sony Legacy recordings is planning to release a compilation CD on May 27th called "The Very Best of Adam Lambert." Timed to come out on the eve of Adam's summer tour with Queen -- which will surely launch many headlines across the nation -- this release hopefully will ride a wave of new interest in Adam as fans of the legendary British band discover our Idol's phenomenal talents. Adam's name will be on the charts, he will collect royalties from the songs he co-wrote, and he'll win new fans who will buy Album #3. It's all good!!
We'll work our way through the playlist of songs from "The Very Best of Adam Lambert." Did Sony get it right? What would be on your "very best of" list?

Have you been following or reading about the #YesAllWomen movement on Twitter? Juneau blogged about how the stories of how all women live with the threat of violence made her reflect about why Adam Lambert won her heart. But there is more to it than that. Adam has inspired so many and given women -- and men -- the courage to face fear, throw off their shackles and not be dictated to about how they should look, or feel, or behave.
We live in a very complex time, with extreme oppression of women still widespread in much of the world, while in the West, women have made strides undreamt of just a generation ago... and yet our media are filled with images of women that seem more hypersexualized than ever. Is this empowerment or a trap? And what about men? When white males still fill the CEO suites and earn more than women for doing the same jobs, why are some so filled with rage? Is this just the backlash of those who are losing their privileged positions, or is something else going on?
Juneau will join Nika for a live discussion. Call in to share your views! We look forward to an hour of serious discussion and seriously good music, of course!
