Acupuncturist Gail Reichstein Rex, L.Ac., is the author of the new book Earth Acupuncture: Healing the Living Landscape. After experiencing a powerful vision of the nuclear power plant near her home on and its toxic effects on the Hudson River, Gail discovered she could treat the landscape just as she treated her patients - by taking its pulses and treating the points of stagnant energy and pollution with acupuncture, drawing upon both Chinese medicine and Native American shamanic traditions.
Beyond the healing, we can communicate with the rivers, mountains, trees and rocks that surround us, allowing each of us to develop an authentic spiritual relationship with the living body of the Earth.
Gail is an acupuncturist, author and editor currently living in Vermont. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, she has been practicing Chinese medicine since 1995. She is also the author of Wood Becomes Water: Chinese Medicine in Everyday Life.

Are you having issues with your health and just want to stuff it down or cut it out? Is the earth having global warming or drastic climate changes but we wag the finger at politicians and their agendas? Where is the society going these days with violence, excess and deficiencies, poor and rich, and the have and have nots? So, I guess you are operating in a silo and think you have great control over life and the world around you, good luck with that!
Brendan Kelly, acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine practitioner and author of The Yin and Yang of Climate Crisis: Healing Personal, Cultural and Ecological Imbalance with Chinese Medicine shares how we are connected to everything, period. As Yin and Yang cannot exist in a silo, they flow into each other and rise and fall, so does the earth, our societies, our health and the universe. What we observe is what is shown to us at this time and what we do with it is in our control; if we take care of things or abuse things which is do we nourish or extinguish that which we are given and interacting with. Is the earth finite? Is the universe fluid?
