"The Echo From Dealey Plaza" -- Abraham Bolden

    in Politics Progressive

Your host, Bob Kirkconnell is thilled that we are able to have JFK Secret Service Agent Abaham Bolden on the program!  Bob will introduce him and then Abraham will share some of his experiences and insights.  Questions from Bob and callers will follow.
Abraham was the first African American Secret Service Agent on the Presidential detail.  He joined the JFK detail in 1961.  After the assassination, he disclosed a Chicago plot to assassinate JFK and also racism, and serious security short comings in the Secret Service.  What happened to him is the subject of this show and we are honored to have Abraham on the program!  Listeners are encouraged do some research ahead of time.  Below is a review of his book: The Echo From Dealey Plaza.
    From Publishers Weekly
Conspiracy theories haunt the Kennedy assassination; Bolden offers a new one, concerning discrimination and evidence suppression. Becoming, in JFK's words, the Jackie Robinson of the Secret Service, Bolden joined the White House detail in 1961. Already beset by racism (he once found a noose suspended over his desk), his idealism is further shattered by the drinking and carousing of other agents. Soon after the assassination, he receives orders that hint at an effort to withhold, or at least to the color, the truth. He discovers that evidence is being kept from the Warren Commission and when he takes action, finds himself charged with conspiracy to sell a secret government file and sentenced to six years in prison, where both solitary confinement and the psychiatric ward await. That there was a conspiracy to silence him seems unarguable, but Bolden's prose is flat; so is his dialogue. This story is more enthralling than Bolden's telling of it, but the reader who sticks with it will enter a world of duplicitous charges and disappearing documents fit for a movie thriller...

Abraham Bolden; JFK Secret Service Agent Discusses New Book

    in US Government

My guest today is a pivotal part of American history... unfortunately America didn't want you to know about it and still doesn't. As we get closer to November 22, which will mark the 50th Anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Always remember the story of the Real Bodyguard; the first black agent assigned to the White House detail, selected by Kennedy himself, Abraham Bolden.
He is also the author of "The Echo from Dealey Plaza: The true story of the first African American on the White House Secret Service detail and his quest for justice after the assassination of JFK." This is the hottest book I have read in a long time.
Bolden went head-long into his assignement to protect the life of the President that he so admired, that when he discovered internal behaviors within the Secret Service itself that compromised the safety of the President, he reported his findings to his superiors and afterwards he was removed from Kennedy's detail just before the fateful date, and became targeted unjustly.
Find out why by listening to this interview, and help clear his name. Feel free to leave a comment in the section below, especially if you're on Facebook.

We will seek to prove that this blessing on the nations is not abstract, nor an inner-self concept that is invisible or that is only in the heart. This study will give us a look at heaven and where it will be, and that is on this earth. We will see what they Biblical text has to tell us about the gospel preached to Abraham and the blessings on the nations.

FROM THE SCHOOLMASTER TO THE SAVIOR: "The Importation of Bondage" p4

    in Religion

From The Schoolmaster To The Savior - "The Importation of Bondage" pt 4

"O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain if indeed it was in vain? Therefore He who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you, does He do it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? just as Abraham "believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons of Abraham." (Galatians 3:1-7)

In this passage, The Apostle Paul scolds those of the Church of Galatia for allowing themselves to be deceived by the Judaizers. Join me on this leg of my series "From The Schoolmaster to The Savior" as we look to the book of correction that Galatians is, where the Apostle Paul seeks to stem the importation of bondage by those seeking to create a Law/Faith hybrid by which to enslave this non-Jewish Church. • God's Righteous Judgement and Abraham Justified by Faith.

    in Radio

In this episode I will discuss Romans chapter 2 where the issue of judging is addressed. I will touch on the topic of sin and what it means to judge another person according to their actions. I will show that right conduct is important and how we can avoid being judged by God, when we choose not to judge our neighbour.

"Looking at Benjamin Franklin & Abraham Maslow" #562

    in Spirituality

The adding of virtuous habits and the elimination of, well, not so good habits, has been, is now and will continue to be a hot topic for many people.  The adoption of virutes moves us toward eliminating "The Integrity Ga" that exists for most of us.

Moving through the literature on this topic yields some very interesting strategies given by some very credible authors.  I have no intention of even attempting to discreit the two authors I will discuss namely, Benamin Franklin and Abraham Maslow for I met (the writings of) these two men at two different times of need.  Each man took me to a higher place for which I was very grateful.  Their writings and strategies, however, left me with questions and a lack of fultillment; I knew there was something better; something more.

My invitation to you is to join me in this message; it's my journey and the journey of many others.  Perhaps this will save you some time in your path to a more contented, fulfilled life.  The journey isn't supposed to be hard; in fact, it's a joyous one.  Let's look at Benjamin Franklin and Abraham Maslow to get some direction.

    in Legal

Lots to talk about this week. We are going to start off with a recording. You will have to listen in to hear the subject matter, but it should scare the willys out of any bondsman. William Cobra Staubs gets credit for this one.

Next Jason Pollack and the problems he faces in California with interstate recovery.

Dan Abraham has some observations about 'Kids with T-shirts saying Agent on them and badges bought at the dollar store.

No-one wants more regulation. But unless the Comercial Bond world steps up and polices itself the long term future looks bleak.
