We have been touching on the events that shape our lives and this has been with the help of our News departments of the networks. From their early incarnations as newsreels on TV to the extravagant sets and non-stop coverage, we are looking into the Networks that bring us the headlines of the day.
Tonight, It's ABC News's turn.
Don't Touch that Dial, and we'll bring you the news of classic television.
We'll also give you the latest headlines.
Welcome to the relaunch of the RINO Hour of Power, with your host Rick Moran. After a brief hiatus, RHOP is back with a slightly different format and bigger and better guests.
To help me kick off the new RINO Hour of Power, I've recorded a two-part conversation with my brother Terry Moran, chief foreign correspondent for ABC News. We'll have a free wheeling discussion about the world, the state of journalism, and Terry's remarkable career. Part Two of the conversation will air on next week's show - June 3 at 8:00 PM Eastern.
Also joining me to discuss current events will be Jazz Shaw of Hot Air.
We stream live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern Time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
On March 17, 2007 I broadcast my first show on Blog Talk Radio. It was "The Rick Moran Show" back then and if I recall correctly, it aired at 4:00 PM Central time that day.
Eight years later and a new title for the show, I'm still here every Tuesday night broadcasting live. Over time, I've built a modest audience and am constantly surprised by some of the people who tune in occassionally.
For this anniversary show, I decided to rebroadcast our most popular show during this 8 year run; an interview with my brother Terry Moran of ABC News. It first aired in May, 2014 and served as a relaunch to the RINO Hour of Power which had been on hiatus for several weeks.
The show streams live from 8:00 - 9:00 PM Eastern time. A podcast will be available shortly after the end of the show.
She is a television correspondent for ABC News. She has co-anchored the overnight news programs World News Now and America This Morning on ABC with Rob Nelson. She is a graduate of Cedarville University with a degree in broadcasting. She is married with three children and attends Hillsong Church in New York.
As a high school student, she was unsure of what she wanted to do with her life until her high school drama teacher encouraged her to study broadcasting in college. She did that and soon found peace from God regarding her direction in life when He opened up the door for her at ABC News. As a Christian, she says there are tests in the news business. "I feel some of the choices that are made in terms of editorial [content] -- I'm not going to do anything that compromises my beliefs and I'll stand up for that. It's also a challenge because people expect that because I'm a Christian I'm going to do all these faith-based stories, but at the same time, I feel I'm there to influence and to pitch stories."
She says her church, Hillsong Church in New York, helps to equip her for those long, tough news days. She said, "We try to be involved, but it's hard with such a frenetic and spontaneous schedule. But we're there every week -- faithful members. Our kids are involved in the kids' ministry there. We're at church every Sunday and we stay in contact with fellow believers throughout the week, just encouraging each other throughout the week."
She chooses to let her light shine for Jesus through her work. She said, "People know that there is something different about me. I think most people know that I'm a Christian. I've had some great opportunities to share the love of Christ with people but I think if I'm not first and foremost showing Christ's love, it doesn't matter if I wear a bracelet or wear a T-shirt."

Award-winning ABC News Anchor Dan Harris has covered wars and presidential campaigns; he’s investigated human traffickers and been chased by wild elephants. But by far his most challenging assignment was something much more personal: taming the voice in his head. Here him tell the story of his odyssey that ranged from the inner sanctum of television news to the bizarre fringes of self-help to the vanguard of neuroscience.
Dan Harris found a way to be happier, calmer and—according to his wife—nicer in the midst of one of the most competitive careers on earth. And if it can work for someone as skeptical and stress-prone as him, it can work for you, too. It’s a far cry from the heal-your-life, solve-all-your-problems over-promising of self-help. What Dan stumbled upon is practical, doable, and scientifically researched. Discover these simple and potentially life-changing ways in his new book: 10% HAPPIER: How I Tamed the Voice in My Head, Reduced Stress Without Losing My Edge, and Found Self-Help That Actually Works—A True Story
“I came to realize,” writes Harris, “that if you can get past the unfortunate cultural baggage, what you’ll find is that meditation is exercise for your brain. There’s nothing necessarily mystical or spiritual about it; it’s a treadmill for optimizing your mental fitness.” Written with candor and a wicked sense of humor, 10% HAPPIER is a spiritual book written for, and by, someone who would otherwise never read a spiritual book. It is both a serious and a seriously funny look at mindfulness and meditation as the next big public health revolution.
