Bill Murray is the Founder of NAASCA (National Association of Adult Survivors of Child Abuse). NOTE from Bill -- I'm hoping that after my more than 25 years of sobriety and recovery from all the issues initiated by my severe abuse as a child our new www.NAASCA.org non profit can resonate with hope for those who have found it difficult to share their abuse stories. I especially encourage sharing in appropriate groups. This is the beginning of recovery. Secondly I'm hoping our new effort can help bring attention to a growing problem the scope of which few understand. Its simply unacceptable that hundreds of thousands of young Americans fall victim to pedophiles, molesters, kidnappers, child ographers and traffickers each year.
"I want to take the worst thing that happened to me and turn it into the best thing I have to offer to the community," he said.
Murray, who grew up in New York, was sexually abused when he was 11 years old during summer camp; the abuse continued for three summers.
The organization will be aimed at helping child abuse victims cope with their trauma by providing resources and a safe space to talk about their experiences, said Murray, who was a victim of child abuse.
"I've gone through the recovery, and I'm healthy enough to be a spokesperson," the recovering drug and alcohol addict said. "I want to devote my life now to help other people who had the same experiences and have not talked about it, especially men."
Murray said he plans to use the Community Matters podcast to encourage victims, who can remain anonymous, to share their stories. He'll also focus on the issues of sex crimes, sex trafficking and child ography.
In preparation for our Blowout Season Preview Podcast this coming Wednesday, we sat down with the one and only, Jay Novacek, legendary Cowboys tight end. Here, we give a snippet of the chat, where Jay talks with KD about the evolution of the TE position, as well as his appearance today at the AT&T Cowboys Classic.
Novacek is a three-time world champion, five-time pro bowler, and a member of the long lineage of great Dallas Cowboys tight ends. And... he's awesome.
It's been said that the difference between courtship and marriage is the difference between what you see in the seed catalog and what comes up in the garden and I think that's caused by a failure to cultivate the garden.
This message deals with God’s Marching orders for husbands and their responsibilities to their wives in the light of a Biblical marriage.
Now the reason we have so many failed marriages today is that we have ignored the original plan that God gave for successful marriages.
And since marriage was ordained in heaven as a union between ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN, we ought to understand what God has to say about marriage.
Now remember we’re looking at the marriage covenant, not the marriage contract, because if you look at marriage as a contract, you’re going to be standing up for your rights, but if you look at marriage as a covenant, you’re going to be accepting your responsibilities.
So if you look at marriage as a contract, you'll be looking for loopholes in the contract, but if you look at marriage as a divine covenant, you won't do that.
According to this passage from Ephesians, man as the husband and the father, has three major responsibilities according to the word of God.
So provided the LORD’s willing this message will clearly explain those three Biblical responsibilities of a husband and father. And they are servant leadership, sacrificial love, and steadfast loyalty.
And this is CRUCIAL to understand before you will ever be able to use the weapons of our warfare in the army of God in these end times!

Second chances and forgiveness go hand in hand, right? So you can't have a successful second chance without forgiveness, but maybe you can still forgive without giving a second chance. It can be counter-productive for people to “back track” when it comes to relationships. Once it is over it is over. It ended for a reason, but people may be able to forgive the person and/or themselves, if required, and move on.
However, forgiveness is ever present in all types of successful relationships. Nobody’s perfect so it’s likely you will need to be forgiving and understanding to those you love. Is there a certain minimum level of forgiveness required to facilitate a second chance in a relationship? Is there a major difference if the relationship has been over, is about to be over, or just ended? Are there things that are generally agreed upon as "unforgivable"? Is it best or possible to forgive and forget? Can a relationship heal by forgiveness alone? If you truly forget are you destined to have it happen again?
