  • Tom Ramstack,author of "A Mangled Marathon"

    in Books

A Mangled Marathon takes reports of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings a step beyond the terrorist blasts that killed three persons and injured more than 260.
It reports on the legal defense of the prime suspect, how victims are coping and the broader social implications of the bombings.
In a note to the reader, the author writes, “Although this book focuses on the April 15, 2013 bombings at the Boston Marathon, its victims and the prosecution of the prime suspect, it is equally about “lone wolf” terrorists. Lone wolves refer to terrorists who plot their attacks alone, usually with no organization to support them and no official links to violent groups. There is almost no way to know their next target until they strike. U.S. intelligence agencies call them perhaps the biggest terrorist threat to the United States and its allies.”
“But before the race was over, few people cared who won or lost. Boston’s Patriots Day, a day of festivities to celebrate the American Revolution, was about to become the latest nightmare in America’s ongoing war on terrorism…”
“The pungent smell of gunpowder hung in the air while shrapnel, ball bearings and nails littered the streets near the blast sites. Spectators left behind backpacks, cell phones and handmade signs with runners’ names. Doctors at Brigham and Women’s Hospital later treated one patient whose body had been pierced by 12 carpenter’s nails.”
A Mangled Marathon was written by veteran journalist and Washington, D.C., lawyer Tom Ramstack. He has reported on court cases for much of his three decades career as a journalist as well as defended a few criminal defendants. He comes into the situation as a witness to a similar event. On July 27, 1996, he stood outside Atlanta’s Centennial Park as a different terrorist bomb ripped into a crowd of people watching a concert during the Summer Olympics.

Hegelian Dialectic and Martial Law in the USA

    in Education

Ecclesiastes 1:9 (KJV)   The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.

The Hegelian Dialectic, or Diocletian’s Theory, was developed in the early 20th Century.  It involves the manipulation of an agenda, whether it be an individual salesman making a sale, a Government wanting to push through potentially unpopular legislation or a Corporation trying to increase its profit margin.  The Hegelian Dialectic involves a thesis (problem), antithesis (reaction), and synthesis (solution).

Thesis = Problem - Manipulate “customer” reaction by creating a perceived problem, perhaps by leaking stories to the press e.g.: Iraq WMD, Terrorist threat, Global Warming

Anti-thesis = Reaction – Your “customer” obviously is concerned by this apparent turn of events and demands help and protection

Solution – The solution that you would never have been able to sell before making the customer worried (e.g.: 5 years of Iraq war; an endless war on terror); and people for the first time being willing to pay more taxes and cut back on their consumption to “save the world” all under a false pretext.

Nazi Germany:  The Nazis torched Reichstag building, blamed the communists and used this as a reason to implement unwarranted search and seizure, confiscation of personal property, incarceration, torture and murder.

False flag events:  Furgeson MO, Boston Marathon Bombing, Sandy Hook Elementary, 911, ...

Para-military Police set fire to a vehicle in front of Advance Auto Parts in St. Louis MO on W Florissant Ave, the same street where nearly every fire occurred. Despite having this building locked down, Advance Auto Parts burnt down to the ground! (Grand Jury Decision not to indict Darren Wilson in the shooting of Michael Brown).

Pushing $12 an hour - Sanders for President

    in Politics

Hr1  How do you feel about a $12/hour minimum wage? That's what they're floating in Washington DC. Can Mom and Pop businesses survive?

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders... proud outspoken socialist is running for US President. In years past, I'd laugh. Now, I'm concerned.

Did Freddie Gray injure himself before or during police custody? The Attorney General needs to be involved in this one to stave off another round of Baltimore riots.

Chris Rock wants white ancestors of slave owners to pay restitution to black ancestors of slaves... 150 years later.

Hr2 Joe Biden says no president has done more to support Israel's security than President Obama... I guess he's still living in that alternate universe.

Oreos are contraband in the Obama school lunch program. Unless the Mom is sending dog food to school for her child, leave them alone! Michelle Obama's school lunches make dog food look superior!

Dad responds to children's unexcused absences to attend Boston Marathon.

Economy comes to a grinding halt, growing at an UNMEASURABLE rate!

Hr3  Guess who Israelis named as the worst US president for Israel in 40 years? No big shock there.

CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin apologizes after saying military veterans who become cops are 'ready to do battle' in Baltimore. Good thing. That comment was inexcusable.

Pew reports on the numbers of religious people. Surprise, Islam is on the rise, and not due to conversions.

Hillary Clinton weighs in on incarceration.

Have you had your healthy dose of reality lately?
