    in Education

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Pittsbrugh Steeler Ernie Mills.

Ernie Mills comes to the Rattler squad as the receivers’ coach.  Mills was a standout receiver for the Florida Gators before being drafted in 1991 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.  He played in Pittsburgh with Holmes until 1996. In 1997 he played one season with the Carolina Panthers, before playing with the Dallas Cowboys in 1998 and 1999.

He led the Gators in receiving touchdowns with 10 in 1990.  That season he also garnered 770 yards receiving.  He was a first-team All-SEC selection with the 9-2 Gators in 1990.  He played under both Galen Hall and Steve Spurrier in his time at the University of Fl orida.

He helped the Steelers get a birth in Super Bowl XXX with 39 catches for 679 yards while scoring eight touchdowns on the season.  Mills spent nine years in the NFL.  He finished his career with 196 receptions, 20 touchdowns and 2,934 yards.  He was regarded as one of the toughest receivers to ever play professional football.  His versatility as a blocker was often compared to the resolve of the area’s reputation for blue collar steel workers.  He was also a return man in the NFL, where he gained 1,818 on 80 kickoff returns.

Managing Madrid Podcast: Previewing Real Madrid's Match Against Villarreal

    in Soccer

Gabe Lezra and Josh Zeitlin sit down with VillarrealUSA's Allen Dodson (the editor-in-chief of SB Nation's Villarreal blog) to chat about Real Madrid's upcoming Liga BBVA tilt against Villarreal. The guys chat about Villarreal more generally, reminiscing about the changes the team has gone through since the last time Allen appeared on the show--back in 2012. Allen walks the guys through Villarreal's institutional and cultural transformation, how the purgatory of Segunda shaped the squad moving forward, and breaks down VIllareal's resurgent form this season.

The guys then break down the game: if you were Villarreal, how would you attack this Real Madrid side? Would you look to press forward? Sit back? What formation would you use, and what would you be looking for in the game to indicate thigns are going well?

Finally, Gabe reads Allen some fan questions, ranging from Villarreal's prospects to possible transfer targets. All this and more on today's #MMPodcast!

The BSD Basketbro Show! Episode 1.13: The State of Penn State Hoops

    in Sports

This week sucked. This week in Penn State basketball really, really sucked. The Nittany Lions lost a heartbreaking game against Wisconsin, then the squad got completely smoked by Northwestern, it blew. Fortunately, after the NU loss, there was a silver lining: AD Sandy Barbour gave a public endorsement of Pat Chambers going forward. On this week's episode of the BSD Basketbro Show, Bill, Eric and Chad welcome special guest Tim Beidel, and the guys discuss the state of Penn State hoops. Is Pat Chambers the man for the job? How can the AD support the squad? What the hell went wrong this year? All of this and more on the best damn Penn State basketball podcast on the web.

Episode 94, The Rising Apple Report: Camp Bravado is open for business

    in Sports

The caleder still says February, the temperature in the northeast is still below freezing, and for many the winter snow has been relentless.  However, nothing advertises a changing of the season quite like Spring Training.

Port St. Lucie is finally open for business.  All position players were due by Tuesday, and today marked the first day of full squad workouts.

Over the winter, the Mets contracted a strong case of confidence.  Tonight's 94th episode of the Rising Apple Report will swing the gates open to Camp Bravado, and debate the merits of their words.

If the Mets indeed seem emboldened to you, perhaps the return of Matt Harvey is one reason why.  On March 6th, he will tentatively take the mound and face live competition for the first time since 2013.

Also up for discussion are the potential crowding of the bullpen and a lack of another lefty, Lucas Duda's injury, the never ending quest to rectify shortstop, the 1994 regular season, and much more.

Rising Apple staff writer Rich Sparago will host this evening's discussion, and will be joined by fellow staff writer Michael Lecolant.  As always, you are most welcome to call the show and join the conversation.

The number is 646-929-0337.  The show starts at 9:00pm (EST) sharp.
