The San Francisco 49ers cut down their active roster to 74 players in advance of Tuesday's 1pm PT deadline. We break down the moves they made to get down, which featured a variety of injury designations.
We are finally here. It is Week 1 of the 2015 NFL season. The Arizona Cardinals made their final roster moves. They inexplicably traded for quarterback Matt Barkley, made their final cuts to get to 53 players, formed their 10-man practice squad and have a new depth chart. That's a lot to go though.
Hosts Jess Root and Seth Cox go through each. They give their thoughts on the trade for Barkley and question giving up on Logan Thomas so early, especially since he was seen as a project and he did seem to show progress and improvement.
They play a little GM and explaoin what they would have done differently with the final 53-man roster. Then they talk about the practice squad, waivers and the first depth chart.
Have a listen to the show. Then head on over to Revenge of the Birds to keep the conversation going.
What does Tim Ryan think the 49ers need to do? He'll tell you. He likes telling you stuff. And Trent Baalke knows what it takes to win. And it's not what you think.

As the New York Jets prepare for free agency the entire roster has to be evaluated to identify strengths and weaknesses. We will review the position groups and identify potential moves that could be made or players that could be brought in. In addition we will start to evalute the salary cap and contracts that could be reworked or restructured. We will take calls live throughout the show and answer tweets from @TalkJetsRadio. As always the support is greatly appreciated.
Mr. C.J. Brewer Wide Receiver
God has blessed to have C.J. Brewer to come and share with us his football days and things from his past. Where he attended school to where he has landed.I spoke with CJ and ask a few questions about his life and I was surprised at his humble answers. My honest opinion of C.J. is he is a one of a kind man. C.J has a great heart to help low income communities and support at risk youth by sharing and showing he care by speaking with the kids, shaking hands with parents, I made chicken wings and fries for him and Darnelle Mote. He love the homemade brownies. The kids were excited and one uncle bought his nephew two footballs for C.J. to sign. It was a wonderful day.
Brewer also played in the afl. Brewer was given a free agent contract with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League, on May 2, 2006. He spent that season on the team's practice squad. However, he missed the 2007 season after tearing a ligament in his right knee. He was waived by the team after the 2008 season.
