Join us as we have fun with our MPowering guest griot Rev Val Love who never felt like she fit in. She had big feet, skinny legs and nagging low self esteem and she was weird. She barely spoke. She saw things it seemed like people couldn't or didn't see. She felt things she couldn't explain and she knew things and she couldn't explain how she knew them. We all are children of the creator and were given gifts unique to us. Your gift is different from mine and mine is different from everyone else's. Over the past year I, DaONE, host of 3RD Eye Open have counseled, coached, spoke with, mentored and broadcast to tens of thousands of people around the globe and the number one challenge people are having by a large percentage is discovering and accepting that unique gift and purpose. Often we believe our purpose or gift lies in our occupation, be it a doctor, lawyer, mechanic, med tech, real estate agent, and so on, but those are mostly learned skills and not gifts. Your gift is something you do without much effort, it comes naturally and easily to you. It's something you do without regard for pay because it's so abundant to you that you don't worry about it's value or cost to you. When you are working in your gift you can do it all day and enjoy doing it each time you do it. Where we get confused most times is that we don't really value it because it comes easy and there really isn't a job description or title for it. Gifts seem like a hobby very often. If you give your gift away it will make a way for you. We don't need to go and buy presents to give away, give the gift the creator gave you. If it will sustain you all of your life what will it do for those you give it to?

" The Future Is Now!" It's here! The future you have been waiting for has arrived . Now that it's here how does it feel? I'll tell you, it looks and feels a lot like the past except today I'm reaping some of the seeds I planted not so long ago. We all made plans for the future at least in our minds about where we would be and what we'd be doing. Are you where you wanted to be and doing what you wanted to do? The numbers say that 3% of Americans are holding 97% of the wealth & 97% of Americans are fighting over the remaining 3%. Why is that? I know what the churches and the schools are teaching us. They're teaching us that the 97% are greedy crooks. That's a lie. We can do more today and faster than at anytime in history. What's up with that? The answer is they know something 97% of Americans don't know and don't want to know because they believe they also will be greedy and crooked. We will break the myths and open up your future to all of the possibilities of a great future for YOU as it pertains to relationships, enterprise, health, money and growth on 3EO. hosted by Speaker & Certified Trainer "DaONE" with Co-Host, Producer/Songwriter/Musician NAISA with special co-host Alycia Johnson & Featuring our "MyStory" Historian, "The Encyclo-negro-pedia", C.R. I hear all too often the question "What does Africa & Black history have to do with what we do today?" I always hesitate. How do you explain a process to someone who believes they live in a bubble only affected by what happens today?I explain that I have a scar over my right eye because a guy sucker punched me one day as I was walking home from school. Now I am always aware when someone walks up on me from behind. Police self report domestic violence at the rate of 40% of ALL domestic violence reports.Their spouses are deathly afraid to report because...In a nationwide survey of 123 police departments, 45% had no specific policy for dealing with officer-involved domestic violence. http://www.purpleberets.org/violence_police_families.html Where were all of these people who call Black children thugs and criminals when the students at Kentucky University rioted in the streets for the 2nd year in a row. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/04/05/1375772/-Riots-Looting-Fires-Break-Out-in-Kentucky-Don-t-Worry-It-s-Mostly-White-Kids# Kentucky fans rioted because they lost a basketball game. Baltimore youth rioted because another black man was paralyzed and died while in police custody for the second time. Pastor Jamal Bryant brought the Bloods and the Crips together this past Sunday with the Nation of Islam and a Christian Church in peace to address and create a plan to overcome the systemic issue of domestic violence on the black male. Did Fox, NBC, ABC or CBS report that breaking news? NO!
3EO Radio with our special guest griot Author of the book "Black Nancy" LENNOX "OX" NELSON. Who is Black Nancy? A PRINCESS. A WARRIOR. A LOVER. A MOTHER. A PRISONER. A CHAMPION. A TEACHER. A FUGITIVE. A FOLK HEROINE. A REVOLUTIONARY. Black Nancy, his first novel, adapted from his original screenplay of the same title, was written to be shared with today’s youth to teach them about African-American history in a way in which they can be proud. “My purpose for writing in this genre (historical-fiction/adventure) histoventure, is to teach African-American youth about their history which began before their ancestors were brought here in chains. It’s important for my readers to understand the point of view in which I write is not from a victim mentality but rather the progeny of royalty. Not everyone accepted slavery. May this book stir the inner warrior inside you. OWN YOUR JOURNEY ~ OX

"Most People Don't Really Know Me!" - Marion Barry Jr. Those are the first words written in his book. 3RD EYE OPEN celebrates Marion Barry Jr. as an American Icon. Young Marion became an Eagle Scout and earned a degree in chemistry from LeMoyne College in Memphis in 1958. As a sophomore, Mr. Barry joined the LeMoyne chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and became chapter president his senior year. While studying for his master’s degree at Fisk University in Nashville, he organized a campus N.A.A.C.P. chapter. Early in 1960, he helped organize the first lunch counter sit-ins in Nashville. That April, he and other student leaders met with the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to establish the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. Mr. Barry became its first national chairman. After a year as a teaching assistant at the University of Tennessee. In June 1965 he moved to Washington, where reporters occasionally referred to him as a “dashiki-clad militant.” A powerful speaker and street campaigner, he began pressing for home rule for the District of Columbia, a battle eventually won. He had found fertile political soil, since residents had only recently won the right to vote in presidential elections and had virtually no say in governing themselves. In 1967, Mr. Barry started a jobs program for poor blacks, winning federal grants worth several million dollars. He won his first election in February 1970, to a citizens’ board created to smooth relations between police officers and black residents. In 1978 he ran for mayor and defeated the incumbent, Walter E. Washington
Vernon Uzzell, National Project Manager with WeShare Crowdfunding is going to explain to our audience what we are missing by not taking advantage of President Obama' 2012 Jobs Act which officially opened up a new source of funding for small companies. It follows the changing world of collaborations. "Do you know anyone or organization that needs to raise funds for any reason, be it business, church or personal? This is not a loan or a grant. "Crowdfunding, the Internet's #1 newest, most exciting phenomenon and social trend for raising funds." Forbes Magazine. www.WeSharecrowdfunding.net/mpowermeant "The world as we know it is turning upside down. What was normal last year is passe' today. Economics is vital in sustaining a sense of normalcy in homes across the globe and banking has been robbing us blind because there were no alternatives. With crowdfunding changing everything banks and their outrageous finance charges and fees no longer have a monopoly on being the source of funding. We've discovered that we can fund ourselves and leave out the banks. Welcome to the new funding vehicle of the 21st century. Are you prepared to take advantage of crowdfunding or are you waiting until someone you know tries it first. Contact everyone you know that's tired of Network Marketing, opportunities, Business Meetings, MLM's, Lotions, Potions Juices and Powders, Travel and Girdles and hair and digital services to try and generate funds to accomplish your goals because those things are not really what you want . WeShare Crowdfunding is none of the above! WeShare is based on understanding that donating to the community is similar to the saying "A rising tide floats all boats." Don't You Ever Give Up!
Call yo neighbors, call yo mama an'em.
Our Guest is the author of the Black Heroine Novels Black Nancy Book I and Book II, Lennox "OX" Nelson. There are times when it appears our DREAMS are just that, dreams. We want them so bad but no matter how much we want them and no matter how hard we try they are still so far away.Or so they seem. "OX" had his dream come true, then his division I football career at Notre Dame was taken from him in a brutal attack. But that was his dream. The creator had something bigger and more impactful for him. I'm here to tell you your dreams are real. Believing IS seeing. Everything that exists today started with a dream, a thought. sometimes we select a path to our dream that the creator doesn't want you to take so he'll take your plans away and give you a path that will prepare you to handle the dream when you get there. Many things I experience today was only a dream when I was a child. You have to keep your dreams alive because when your dream dies it dies in you and dead things tend to stink and smell. When your dreams die your personality begins to stink because your dream is what gives you energy and life. Don't give up on your dreams because the path has changed. You are the Game Changers. We're gonna help you with that today.
Join us as we celebrate 3RD EYE OPEN's 5th Anniversary on the air. Its been quite a journey for 3EO. and me. I couldn't have made it without my crew, Andy Evans, Nikpitome, Naisa, Pookie, C. R. Gibbs, Alycia Johnson, Dave Owens, Anthony Adewusi, Delicious, you our listeners and contributers, my family and my loving and patient wife RED, who allows me to do this.
