31st Sunday of Ordinary Time with Fr. Daniel Kelley. Saint Luke once again presents us with a story about a man whose wealth was gained at the expense of others. But this time the man, Zacchaeus, repents, and Jesus proclaims salvation for him. As we move through this celebration today, let us pray for the wisdom to repent of our own sins, so that we too will hear Jesus proclaim salvation for us. #stjoe88 #frdanielkelley #stjosephcatholicchurch
On today’s episode of Faith Time, we will study the parable of the five wise and five foolish virgins. Jesus gave us a category, and divide of those in the church- those who have oil and those who don’t. Which one will you be... When He returns?

A continuation of yesterday's broadcast about how to be successful in life as God intends. How then does one "activate" as spoken by the Spirit. One way to "activate" is by giving. Giving activates the process of receiving. It is important to hear the direction of the as to what and where to give. Do not allow this to paralyze you however, while you wait for direction. The word of God has aleady instructed us to give (and it shall be given)... Start with family, then community, then the uttermost parts of the world. Random Acts of Kindness can be performed every single day and need not cost money (in case you have not yet moved into your wealthy place). You can give time, energy, effort, attention and so many other things that your creative mind will come up with when you decide to be a giver.
Activation then includes 1st saying something and 2nd, doing something.
Activators: saying, seeing, sowing, emotions
Don't forget to register for the upcoming teleclass for women in ministry on March 12, 2:00pm.
What happens over time when a person gets well acquainted with their spouse/mate? They get comfortable! Although being relaxed and somewhat "at ease" with your significant other is common and pleasant thing...it can also cause one's attraction and sex life to dwindle over time. Join in as we discuss some of the comical, random and even serious ways we dampen "the mood" as well as ways to strength our sexual relationships.

The only radio show dedicated to the issues of loss and grief.
This week we will be answering questions about "grief over 65".
Sometimes we are prepared to deal with the issues around the transitions and losses that happen in our 60's and 70's and sometimes we are caught by surprise..
Our grief does not have to over take our lives at this time.
What surprises do we discover here? What can we bring to our greif experiences?
How do we shift our roles after retirement and meet the challenges at this time of our lives?
Listeners are welcomed to call in.

Maybe life’s “delays” are meant for us to exhaust every human means possible?!?!
Eric Speir writes:
In studying the lives of these great people, I've discovered 4 reasons God makes us wait:
1. Waiting Reveals Our True Motives
Waiting has a way of bringing out the best and worst in people. People who don't have good motives won't wait long because they're not interested in the commitment it takes to see something through. They're too interested in short-term gains or success.
Most of us have good intentions, but a lot of what we want to accomplish is an attempt to make a name for ourselves or for our own egos. It hurts to say this, but it's often true.
2. Waiting Builds Patience In Our Lives
Patience in waiting for small things leads to having patience in the bigger things. If we can't wait for God to do a small thing, we certainly can't wait for something bigger.
3. Waiting Builds Anticipation
Why do children get so excited around Christmas? Because the wait has produced anticipation. We tend to appreciate things the longer we have to wait for them.
4. Waiting Transforms Our Character
Waiting has a way of rubbing off the rough edges of our lives. Most of us know the story of Moses delivering the Israelites from the Egyptians. It's a grand story of God doing great miracles.
We married in 1988 and began our family in 1998. Those ten years were very long and painful. There was a purpose in the waiting. We just didn’t see it or want to see it at the time.
One of the biggest difficulties, for some, is to keep moving forward while you wait…to constantly be learning in the waiting room.
Do you take opportunities to learn something while you wait?
People who are religious pray all the time, talking to God. But when someone says God talks back to them, some people roll their eyes and snicker. What do you think of people who claim to have ongoing conversations with God? Are you one of those people? And what does God's voice sound like? Or are people who claim Gpd speaks to them merely delusional
It's not the thing, but the spirit behind it. Let's be thankful that GOD HIMSELF created that arrangement. He can displace any spirit that's not compatable with HIS purposes. HE tells us in HIS Word that ...HE has not given to us a spirit of fear but of love power and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7). The atmosphere we maintain around ourselves is important. It must be in agreement with GOD and therefore unfriendly to the adversary. Our victory through CHRIST is never a chance event. GOD has created it for you for this time.
