    Dr. Harrison-Madu - The Nursing Experience

    Dr. Harrison-Madu is currently the Acting Chairperson of Nursing and Allied Health Programs at Essex County College in Newark, New Jersey.

    Dr. Harrison lectures on topics nursing framework to include Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, Maternal Newborn, Pediatrics, Medical Surgical Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.

    Dr. Harrison-Madu’s did her masteres thesis entitled “Improving Nurse Performance of Medication Administration Assessment in the Home Care Environment” and her doctorial dissertation entitled, “A Study on Nursing Student Experiences and Perceptions in Processing Information on Standardized Tests”.

    Rev. Marvin Glenn currently serves as Assistant Pastor at First A.M.E. Church, Gaithersburg. He has been married to Rev. Dr. Barbara Y. Glenn, Pastor of First A.M.E. Church, Gaithersburg, for almost 50 years. They have two children: Lisa Glenn Washington and Marvin III. They are blessed to have five grandchildren: Jasmine and Jason Ruffin and Myles, Parris, and Ezekiel Glenn and one great grandchild, Tristin Whitfield.  To God be the glory for the great things he has done!!


    For many years, Rev. Glenn was employed in the retail industry. He was the first African American to work for the Rike-Kumler Department Stores in Dayton, OH. While at Rike’s, he became the first African American to be accepted in the Executive Training Program. Later, he was a trailblazer at several other retail chains, Elder Beerman’s also in Dayton OH and the Hecht Company in the Washinton Metropolitan area.  After leaving the retail industry, Rev. Glenn worked as case manager with the homeless of Prince George’s County, and was Rehabilitation Coordinator, assisting mentally and emotionally challenged boys and girls and families at Urban Behavior Associates (UBA) and the Family Centers.  Rev. Glenn was employed by Catholic Charities and in 2004, Rev. Glenn resigned from his position as a case manager/family support specialist with Catholic Charities to devote more of his time to ministry.

    Born in Canada, Natalie Brown‘s passion for music was nurtured from a young age by her involvement in theater, gospel music, creative writing and local session work as a vocalist and writer. Upon deciding to pursue a professional music career, she moved to California and was selected to sing with internationally acclaimed Gospel recording artist Ron Kenoly during his “Welcome Home” tour in 1996. She toured around the USA and upon returning to California, Natalie studied with world-renowned vocal instructors Seth Riggs (Stevie Wonder, Tevin Campbell, Deborah Cox) and Dave Stroud (Terry Ellis of En Vogue, Rosie Gaines).

    Natalie’s debut album was released in late 2000 and contained thirteen original songs. Created with a thoughtful range of subject matter, tempo and mood throughout the album, “Let The Candle Burn” was enthusiastically welcomed by fans and industry personnel alike. She painted an interesting tapestry of sound on an album that included carefree, upbeat tracks, mid-tempo chillout songs and sweet soulful ballads.
