Many tragedies happen during these Last Days. Each week, we learn about people who were subjected to cruel and unusual treatment by their government in the form of police violence and denial of basic human and civil rights. On a majority of the radio shows I participate in, we approach the issues from a mostly secular perspective. We are sensitive to the fact that our audiences are comprised of many people who have differing viewpoints on religion. But as a Christian, I feel that the problems we face can only be resolved when we apply the Biblical solution. God said:
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. ~2 Cor. 7:14.

David L. Levy (b. 1936) is a children's rights activist, per the National Partnership for Community Leadership (NPCL) in presenting Levy with the 2011 Charles Ballard Advocacy Award at NPCL's conference in Washington, D.C. In 1985, Levy co-founded The Children's Rights Council in 1992. Levy has authored four books, all on different topics, fiction and non-fiction. Levy is co-director of the Children's Rights Fund for Maryland, an organization advocating joint custody (shared parenting) for children of separation, divorce, and never-married parents. The Fund also provides low cost attorneys for parents in need affected by custody and access (visitation) issues. Levy was appointed by MD Governor Martin O'Malley to the Child Custody Decision-Making Commission in the Fall of 2013. The Commission has held hearings around the state, and is now working on legislative proposals to be presented to the 2015 Maryland legislature. Levy also provides supervised visitations in the Washington, D.C. area and consults on custody related topics in the U.S. and abroad. He also provides job shadowing to help prepare young people for careers and jobs.
Levy attended the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, and University of Florida Law School from which he received his juris doctorate. Levy directed the Board of Trustees to strengthen families and reduce the trauma of divorce to children through supporting legislation and programs which favor Shared Parenting (joint custody) mediation, liberal access/parenting time, and emotional and financial child support. Levy states that there are millions of parents who want to be involved (in their children's lives), but the road is blocked. A noted author, Mr. Levy has written a myriad of articles on the subject of child custody and divorce mediation which have been published in prominent legal journals as well as noted in general interest publications.

After declining this advice, Aaron went on to become one of the premiere performance poets in the country, featuring on TV One’s Verses & Flow, HBO’s Brave New Voices, and TEDx Washington University. His work has appeared in multiple journals including the Tidal Basin Review, Apogee Journal, and Muzzle Magazine. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED 2013.
This is a REPRISE EPISODE that originally aired on June 8, 2013 and was the 3rd of a 6-part series.
The Cosmic Citizen proceeded with the exploration of Seraphic Planetary Government. We reprised Paper 114 §6 The Master Seraphim of Planetary Supervision and immediately moved to our resumption with "The Unceasing Campaign of The Master Seraphim" with Neal Waldrop and Charles Olivea. Paula Thompson hosted and Christilyn Larson and André Radatus cohosted with Sean calling from the UK for this remarkable study.
We continued with Part III: Methods. Among other questions we asked:
Why might it be advantageous for the master seraphim and the guardian seraphim to work together to foster decisions or actions on the part of a particular individual? Do they also endeavor to influence certain other human beings other than those in the reserve corps of destiny? What would be the advantages and disadvantages of a comprehensive strategy that would evolve from time to time? What strategies and tactics can you envision our master seraphim adopting?
The discussion was quite interesting as we explored the implications of all these questions.
We recommend that those who listen in and desire to get ahead on this detailed study do so by visiting the following link and downloading copies of Neal Waldrop’s study guide on this rich topic:
The angels and many other celestial helpers who care for us are among us. Let's get this material “under our belts” about our heavenly helpers, created "just a little above us," and try to understand how we might help them in their service on Earth--Urantia.
See you Saturday morning at 9:00 Pacific; noon Eastern!

“Children of all ages feel betrayed and abandoned when their parents divorce because their cozy nest is disrupted,” Lieberman says. “This even upsets kids who are already out of the nest. The message their parents are sending is that it is more important for them to have a life of their choosing than to remain in their prior, primary role of mom or dad.” The result: strained relations, uncomfortable moments for everyone and, for you, the feeling that your children may not have your best interests at heart.
Sometimes there are psychological reasons for an adult child resisting a parent’s new love life. For instance, a young woman may be especially sensitive when her father forms a serious new relationship. “She may feel her dad prefers the 'other' woman to both her mom and herself,” Lieberman says.
“It comes down to jealousy,” says Dr. Itamar Salamon, an associate clinical professor of psychiatry at theAlbert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. “Children, even when they’re grown, get attached to being important in their single parents’ lives, and they resent it when someone gets between them and the parent.”

President Obama in August will welcome leaders from across the African continent to the Nation’s Capital for a three-day U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, the first such event of its kind. This Summit, the largest event any U.S. President has held with African heads of state and government, will build on the President’s trip to Africa in the summer of 2013 and it will strengthen ties between the United States and one of the world’s most dynamic and fastest growing regions. Specifically, the August 4-6 Summit will advance the Administration’s focus on trade and investment in Africa and highlight America’s commitment to Africa’s security, its democratic development, and its people. At the same time, it will highlight the depth and breadth of the United States’ commitment to the African continent, advance our shared priorities and enable discussion of concrete ideas to deepen the partnership. At its core, this Summit is about fostering stronger ties between the United States and Africa.
The theme of the Summit is "Investing in the Next Generation." Focusing on the next generation is at the core of a government’s responsibility and work, and this Summit is an opportunity to discuss ways of stimulating growth, unlocking opportunities, and creating an enabling environment for the next generation.
