Friday FARcast: Bring On The Flood, Dead Reckoning & Remembering Kenneth Warren

    in Spirituality

The air is thick with the compulsive dread that spreads like a dark thundercloud before an epic storm. If you can't feel it, you aren't alive.  The administration is pushing hard to pass the TPP, which effectively ends America as we know it, giving title and control, through consent to the major corporations, who will govern commerce and goods with no restrictions and no tarrifs or safeguards for American workers and products.  While Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren are beating the drums to raise the minimum wage, they're debating for a hollow platform, an aging paradigm and soon-to-be discarded economic structure.  Rumors of pole shift and tectonic rupture abound.  California is supposed to meet it's demise in just six days, while the Madrid fault shudders and shakes.  More false flag protests are waiting in the wings and an army assembles in the southern states.  What's it all mean and where is it headed?

We're in a time of reckoning and the spiritual atom smasher, the real CERN is revving up, accelerating the shift in each and every one of us.  I'll be discussing this process and where I think it's headed.

I'll also take some time to honor a great person and a very dear friend, Kenneth Warren.  Ken was a writer, social critic, mystic, researcher and communal record keeper.  He was a sage and vizier of the highest order and gracious, humble man. Ken passed yesterday morning.  I am replaying an interview I did with him after he got back from the Vincent Ferrini conference.  Ken was an acolyte of the great, American poet, Charles Olson. His magnum opus work is "Capt. Poetry's Sucker Punch, A Guide To The Homeric Punkhole, 1980 - 2012."

The King Me Show: The American Dream: Buying A Home While Black in America

    in Radio

Home ownership has been an important vehicle in creating a solid white middle class, but it has not done the same for most black homeowners, because blacks and whites buy homes in very different neighborhoods. Research shows that homes in majority black neighborhoods do not appreciate as much as homes in overwhelmingly white neighborhoods. This appreciation gap begins whenever a neighborhood is more than 10% black, and it increases right along with the percentage of black homeowners. Yet most blacks decide to live in majority minority neighborhoods, while most whites live in overwhelmingly white neighborhoods. It's Your World Big Girl...Summertime TIPS!

    in Lifestyle

    Personal Care TIP:
It's Beginning to get warm outside and temperatures are expected to soar for the summertime...
So here are a few of my tips to help keep you fresh and clean.
I'm aware that this subject can be taboo, but for some, it's NEEDED.

5 Easy Steps to keep you SPRING FRESH and CLEAN ALL DAY!

    1. SHOWER MORE FREQUENTLY: During the Summer months the body perspires more which could give off a foul odor if you tend to sweat profusely! Try to fit in an additional shower between meetings to avoid embarrassment. If you work a long day and cannot get to a shower…

    2. BE SURE TO CARRY A WASH CLOTH AND SOAP and Baby wipes, or Feminine wipes in your purse and use some of your break time to wash yourself in the ladies room and…

    3. CHANGE YOUR UNDER GARMENTS and panty liners! Even if you’re NOT on your period, panty liners will keep your feminine area clean and your panties fresh.

    4. AVOID HEAVY PERFUMES: Do not, I REPEAT, DO NOT wear the same fragrances for Summer that you wore all Fall and Winter! Choose a lighter scent. Heavy perfumes on a sweaty body will only intensify an ALREADY bad smell…and NEVER EVER EVER SPRAY PERFUME ON A DIRTY BODY!

    5. WATCH YOUR DIET!!! Remember, what goes in SHOWS OUT!!!! If you choose to eat greasy fried foods, and starchy salty foods, you will actually begin to LOOK GREASY!!! You will feel weighted down and HOT, your cholesterol levels will intensify with souring temperatures, and you’ll just feel and look YUCKY!!! Choose organic fruits, veggies, oats, and grains! Stay hydrated with water!

***Keep your face clean and revamp your makeup routine as well. Instead of a full coverage foundation go for a light BB Cream, skip the heavy contouring, and choose a light pigmented go to lip-gloss!
    Enjoying a FEMININE FRESH SUMMER...

Philly's Finest - Coach Eric Taylor

    in Motivation

    HISTORY

Founded in 2012 assisting athletes from South Eastern Pennsylvania improve their football and life skills. This unique opportunity started when a group of young men were turned away from playing a sport they had all grown up loving and playing. Those young men came together along with their parents and decided to form their own team. After presenting their situation to a local football coach they began practicing and competing. Philly’s Finest has quickly become one of the most successful 7v7 programs on the east coast.

    MISSION

To serve our community and youth by providing an environment that breeds competition in athletics and education. The athletes are surrounded by positive coaches and mentors that help guide the athletes through the everyday challenges they face on the field, in the classroom, and in their communities. They are provided with guidance throughout each level of education from high school through college. With the high level of college athletes that graduate from our program, we have become experienced in providing a level of guidance and assistance in the college recruiting process. We not only teach the physical aspects of the game but we raise the athletic intelligence level of each of our athletes. Our goal is to bring out the competitor in each of our athletes so they can be successful on the field and in the classroom.

    VISION

An organization that is made up of football, basketball, track, soccer and cheerleading. Education in the college recruiting process is major and must be provided to parents as well as athletes. Our organization plans to provide that education. Competition will not be limited to just athletics. Our youth will compete in academic competitions in the fields of law, medicine, and business. To further prepare them, our goal is to establish strong tutoring, SAT, and ACT programs.
