Who is your Heisman Trophy winner? NFL playoff race heating up after week 12

    in Sports

After Thanksgiving, football season heats up. College football is heading into playoff mode, while teams in the NFL position themselves for a playoff run. As college football winds down, it is time to start talking about the Heisman Trophy. The top running back is Derrick Henry, from Alabama. He has rushed for 1,797 yards and 22 touchdowns while leading Alabama to a 11-1 record. The quarterback class is not full of superstar names. Deshaun Watson, of Clemson, could be the front-runner of the quarterbacks. The Sophomore has thrown for 3,223 yards and 27 touchdowns. He has led Clemson to a perfect 12-0 record.  Early expert picks, on ESPN, have Henry taking 9 of the 10 first place votes and running away with the award.

They will not be receiving style points, but the Washington Redskins have quietly jumped into first place. The NFC East is a mess, and the Redskins are taking advantage. After beating the New York Giants 20-14, they own the tie-breaker and have a one game lead over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Did Brock Osweiler end Petyon Mannings career? Osweiler did what no other quarterback could do this year. He beat the New England Patriots. The win gives the Broncos a 9-2 record, and puts them in position to receive a first round bye. They have a comfortable three game lead over the Kansas Chiefs, who have won five games in a row. The Patriots lost the game, and thought they lost Rob Gronkowski for the year. However, tests reveal that he only has a knee bruise with no tears. The Seattle Seahawks defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 39-30 to vault into the second NFC wildcard spot. The Steelers fall into a four way tie, at 6-5, for the AFC wildcard. The Chiefs own the tiebreaker and would be the number one wildcard, and the Houston Texans would slide into the second wildcard, after winning four games in a row.

Memories Of Pain - the forgotten survivors

    in Radio

Here we go countdown to Christmas, and the holidays.  Holidays are a time of reflection and remembrance and a time to celebrate the people in our lives.  For many survivors this is a time of year where these memories are only pain.  The pain of those who would not or could not wait for us to heal.  Because of the amount of time it takes to come back from a brain injury people forget and discount us one by one.  Till in many cases no one is left.  And by the time the survivor gets a chance to see any clarity after brain injury their whole life has crumbled into ashes.
As each year passes the memories become harder and more painful.  So overwhelming to one’s soul that the hope for death is our greatest hope.  A hope for peace.  We the survivors are no longer a part of the life we once had.  We never had a chance.  The thoughts that race through our heads, the thoughts of not being worth it to a single person.  And anyone who might be the slightest part of our life have discounted us and gone, mental and hopeless.  Yet here we are trapped inside this vessel that was who we were ignored, disliked and misunderstood.
Like it or not we have been called to a higher purpose whatever that means.  But find that purpose we must because the powers of darkness and negativity are there constantly to remind us of our unworthiness.  Together we can help each other discover our individual purposes that is the glue to the universe.  Yes our loss is tragic and hard, and feels so unfair.  But we were picked by the universe for something greater than ourselves.  And like it or not it is our destiny, a destiny that we can live or fight.
Share you journey tonight, help create a discussion that can be shared to help other begin their journey!

Ross Delafield was born and raised in New York City.

A walk across the United States was the daunting idea – 2,700 miles from Camp Pendleton, CA to Washington, DC, all to raise awareness for their wounded brothers and sisters in arms. In April 2013, Adam and Chris started planning their journey – planning their route, notifying friends, and spreading the word of wounded veterans in need.Over several months, thousands of miles, and many pairs of shoes, Adam went on to complete the journey and inspire a nation.

To create experiences that empower veterans to help themselves and others. The Wounded Walk is a nonprofit organization located in Leesburg, Virginia. Our goal is to challenge, motivate, and empower physically and mentally wounded military veterans by leading wilderness excursions, camping treks, and mountaineering expeditions. The Wounded Walk also advocates for the advancement of post-combat treatment for wounded veterans.
The log is a 40lb Memorial that represents those who have taken their own lives. We carry this everywhere we go in honor of those who lost their grip.

Nearly 22 US Veterans take their own lives EVERY day. That is over 8,000 per year. 40,000 since 2010.

Want an A+ in COUNTRY, a better President: Write-In Curtis Clinton c2it

    in Elections

Like going to Syria, upgrades your Foreign Policy credentials. Give yourself a break; break into reality. CNN reports intimate that Dr. Ben Carson has just improved his Foreign Policy Image & background by travelling to Syria to visit a refugee camp. Beware of the money trap - that was a movie too.  Your Money Trap is right in front of your eyes - opened them to see it. Politicians, with expensive friends and donors, together with packs of money from PACs, are masquerading – morphing & Changing -- right before your eyes, putting on airs of respectability and oodles of experience and knowledge ( some knowledge, when it leads to the death of Americans & bleeds our economy of investment/tax dollars for four Bankruptcies ). The Presidential Candidates are not blameless in their pursuit for the highest status in all of mankind. Caesars, Emperors, Kings, Pharaohs, Bushes & Clintons assume so much power and command that they escape justice and responsibility. I suggest Presidential Candidates for the WHITE HOUSE Who are looking to make like & things better for us. I know I do and you should know it too after 8 years on BLOG TALK RADIO. What are you waiting for before you and others throw out your money building a wall that other better Presidential Candidates can’t scale for lack of money. You are making the lifeblood of our country money. I have no money to go to Syria. Does that make me less right and smart on Syria and what we should do.  You figure. You figure wrong again. Remove the fat money underbelly of Politics and Political Parties & the Presidency by writing in the only name you need for President. It’s not H Clinton. It’s C Clinton, Curtis for courtesy….   bwell    c2it.   hurray for the some of the rich for pushing today for clean energy,,
