    It's a Different World

    in Christianity

Back in 1964 Bob Dylan sang the song, "The Times They Are a-Changin' ". Just how much times have changed since then is absolutely mind-boggling. Technology, education, parenting, attitudes, you name it, it has changed and changed drastically. Today's world certainly is a" DIFFERENT WORLD than where we came from."

Life brings on changes to be sure. We want to know what you think about how and why the times have evolved.

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

TODAY our show will be about the details of the Feb. 13, 1965 speech:

THE AMERICAN SLAVE CODE in THEORY AND PRACTICE: its distinctive features shown by its statues, judicial decisions, and illustrative facts.WILLIAM GOODELL

2.)   Free peopled of color may be and continually are brought into Slavery, in this country, in a variety of ways. Some of these ways have been already specified, incidentally, while treating of other topics. Some will be specified hereafter. And they will be clustered together and averted again, in a chapter on "The Liberties of the Free People of Color."  In the mean time, the topic demands attention here, in our inquiry concerning the subjects of slavery, and we shall cite some particulars which need not be repeated again. The general fact of the enslavement of the free colors people, of the facility with which it is done, and the indifference, not to say the connivance, of the Southern Courts, will appear from the following: Davis vs. Sanford, Spring Term 1815; 6 Littell's Ky. Rep., 206.

FREE SOCIAL WORSHIP AND RELIGIOUS INSTRUCTION PROHIBITED:  The Government not only permits the Master to forbid the free Social Worship and religious Instruction of his Slave, at his pleasure, but it also steps in with direct prohibitions of its own, which even the Master himself may relax or abrogate.

"But despite the fact that I saw that Islam was a religion of brotherhood, I also had to face reality. And when I got back into this American society, I'm not in a society that practices brotherhood. I'm in a society that might preach it on Sunday, but they don't practice it on no day--on any day. And so, since I could see that America itself is a society where there is no brotherhood and that this society is controlled primarily by racists and segregationists--and it is--who are in Washington, D.C., in positions of power." "Somewhere in Time" at Mackinac Island's Grand Hotel

    in Travel

What does great fudge, the world’s longest porch, U.S. presidents and Hollywood have in common?   Mackinac Island.

World Footprints will take you on a journey to a little known crown jewel that sits in Lake Huron between Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas –Mackinac Island (pronounced “Mack –in-aw”).   The island was named by Native Americans who said that the island resembled a turtle.   They gave it the name  "Mitchimakinak" meaning "big turtle".   The British later shortened the name to Mackinac.

Today’s show explores the island’s rich history and how that is being preserved as a National Historic Landmark.   Mackinac Island was key in two battles during the War of 1812 but in the late 19th century, it became a popular summer colony.  The island still maintains its old world charm and is known for its variety of architectural styles, including the famous Victorian-style Grand Hotel; fudge; and its ban on almost all motor vehicles.   (Golf carts are allowed but only on the golf course.)

Hollywood discovered the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and it was the setting of two feature films: This Time for Keeps (1946) and Somewhere in Time (1979).  Mackinac Island has been written about and visited by many influential writers including  Mark Twain and Henry David Thoreau.

As we'lll hear,  U.S. Presidents and politicians have enjoyed respites on Mackinac Island.  The Grand Hotel has honored these visits by designing some staterooms with the assistance of a few former First Ladies.&nb

The Audible Bible From Revelation Chap 1-9, The End Time, The End of the World!

    in Social Networking

The book of Revelation or The Revelation of Jesus Christ presents God Will Win The Victory. In fact, He has already won the victory by the Blood of His Son on the cross at Calvary. However, there is a victory that is yet to be won, that is bringing all men to Himself to experience His grace, love and mercy. The Bible comes from God, the Father, the Son and the Spirit with a divine purpose to save men from their sins through the obedience of Jesus Christ.

The book of Revelation or Apocalypse instructs us of the basic beliefs essential of Christianity; it describes issues facing the modern churches. In addition, it differentiate the truly borne again, spirit filled Christian believers and the false prophets and predicts what will happen to the false prophets. The most important fascinating facts about this book is that it predicts what will shortly take place as we are progressing toward the end time. This world will end, no doubt about it, Jesus Christ will certainly come. The end of the world is prophesied right here in the book.  Read it and ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the contents. God bless you, Amen!

    God’s Framework for End-Time Prophecy

    in Christianity

How should we view prophecy? Can it provide spiritual benefits? The apostle Peter mentioned that prophecy should serve to strengthen our hope and faith in the future. He said: “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts …” (2 Peter 1:19).Here Peter compared Bible prophecies to a light that provides visibility until the final coming of God’s Kingdom, brought by Jesus Christ to earth. When this occurs every eye will see His glory as if it is a great light (Matthew 24:27, 30; Revelation 1:7).

WORLD WIDE AFRICA THE VOICE OF THE PAN AFRICAN MOVEMENT

    in Politics

EDUCATION PROHIBITED TO AFRCAN AMERICAN SLAVES BY LAW because if we were deemed as sentient beings with all the HUMAN aspects of life eternal we would know how we came to be, when we came to be, what we were then and what we are now.  Eternal in our blackness that we were created in our skins, so no amount of getting on your knees and begging any God for your freedom because it will never come.  We the people of this world will make ourselves free. My thoughts are that at all cost God who is the one who created us all knows what we need, but if we do not initiate a desire to change our conditions they will not change, the creator tells me that our conditions will not change until we ourselves change. Open up our minds to what our leaders taught us and use that knowledge. It is to open the mind to the light of liberty to which we so richly deserve, to lavish ourselves in.  There is no more pleading, there is only Revolution complet and total change of what the Captors want from us, knowledge is the key. Repartions for all the misdeeds done to us is the only solid foundation of Revolution on which we must stand a complete and total change tothe systems of White, Immperalist state under which we are all being forced to live under.  Yet to even Educate our children about Revolution is wrong, this absurd.  This day is the day we set aside to morn our loss of our Ancestors of the Civil War "The Colored Soilders". Denied everthig

"In the house of Delegates of Virginia, in 1832, Mr. Berry said: "We have, as far as possible, closed every avenue by which light might enter their ( the slaves) minds.  If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work would be completed; they would then be on a level with the beast of the field, and we should be safe! I am certain that we would not do it, if we could find out the process, and that on the plea of necessity."

MEMBERS OF A BETTER WORLD FEATURING PRINCE EL ROHM

    in Culture

Members of a Better World is a group of State-Sanctioned Community Development advocates committed to enabling communities in need toward greater self-sustenance. We are focused on the areas of Training and Employment Services, Food Cooperatives, Social Care for Single Parents, the Elderly, Disabled Children support, and Youth Mentoring. These services are essential for equipping communities for increasing self sufficiency and an improved quality of life. MBW services are geared toward reconstituting and rebuilding the communities in the city of Arad, Israel where they are headquartered, as well as throughout the surrounding Negev (Southern) region. The organization was built by 40 families in Arad who examined, identified, and addressed core needs impacting financial and social independence within that community. After several years of research activities, our official work started in June, 2013, with our model focused on independently generating funds to support projects promoting self-sufficiency.
