2011 FreedomWorks Sons and Daughters of Liberty Award Winner Susan Nielsen

    in Politics Conservative

Bards Logic welcomes 2011 FreedomWorks Sons and Daughters of Liberty Award Winner Susan Nielsen to discuss her website http://www.theconstitutionalconservatives.com/

Mission Statement: "Encouraging "ethical activism" among fellow American Patriots by promoting principled and conservative values through education and study. Promoting honesty in our education systems by teaching the true importance of our U.S. History. To bring  Americans together-by working in our Communities. To reform the Republican party.

    Our Guest:

Susan Nielsen is the owner and Administrator of TheConstitutionalConservatives[dot]com (aka 912Communique[dot]com and Stamppeeve[dot]com).

Having heard the call to Conservatism, seeing the growing lack of respect and knowledge she noted in our youth, she was eager to become involved when the opportunity to help arose. While Susan noticed that “We the people” wanted to use their voice by sending letters and making phone calls, they did not want to write the letters.  Susan first fulfilled a need to offer pre-written letters to the concerns to our Government leaders. Stampeeve[dot]com was born.  "We use stamps because we are peeved!"  This became fairly successful.

912Communique[dot]com was built to offer a place for Glenn Becks 912 Project members to better communicate.

She redesigned the 912Communique website and it became TheConstitutionalConservatives .com to express her desire to offer Constitutional education and actions to an apathetic society.

A Kind Voice On Music featuring Bill Phillippe

    in Indie Music

Our next guest is Blues legend Bill Phillippe. Bill has spent the last twenty years playing guitar and singing all over the San Francisco bay area. During that time, he could be seen or heard in some neighborhood tavern, hipster cafe, jazz lounge, blues club, The Fillmore poster room or on a late Sunday night preaching to the faithful at the Boom Boom Room on Fillmore street. After ten years covering deep New Orleans funk, three CD releases (Ascended Masters of the Order of the Tantric FOnk-2003, FOnk-2008 and FOnkOlOgy-2011) and generous press accolades, Bill turned his attention to the origination of his thirty year musical odyssey, Delta Blues. In early 2012 Bill embarked upon a musical journey channeling the music of Blind Willie Johnson, Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, and Mississippi John Hurt, along with traditional New Orleans tunes and songs by contemporary giants like Tom Waits in a solo guitar format. Bill has been a previous guest with A Kind Voice and we are excited to have him return to share what's new with him and his fabulous music!

On Why Yet's Watch with Author Lisa Y. Sparrow

    in Women

Mental health problems are a very sensitive topic in the black community mainly because of the stigma that mental illness is a result of an individual being weak. According to a report done by blackwomenshealth.com, in 2011  the depression rate among black women was estimated to be 50% higher than that of white women. With media reporting murders of women such as Sandra Bland how are we to expect the rate to be anything but dismal? But all is not lost and there is hope - Lisa Y. Sparrow.

Lisa is a divorced mom of 2 children who lives in Columbus, Ohio. She has bounced between foster homes and mental hospitals while growing up. During her early adult years she suffered multiple miscarriages and spent many moments, like many of us, feeling unloved and unwanted. Lisa used her experiences as a springboard to grow in her faith and to encourage and uplift herself. By doing so she encourages not only her children but everyone she encounters and shares her story of empowerment with. And share she does in her autobiography - His Eye is on the Sparrow.

Join me as I sit down with Lisa as we discuss how she found the courage to become bigger than her circumstances. See ya soon, Why Yet
